I heard this story 2nd hand. I have yet to find anyone to support it. My source is a die hard coward stern fan. He tells me Friday morning that Stern & that pig whore quivers had a few choice words about Ron and Fez.
Is there ANYONE who can confirm or deny this??

Sorry if I added this to the wrong thread. I thought about putting it in entertainment... but nothing about that morning show is entertaining... to me.

Very true. Well I mean I didn't know him in DC obviously, but I was a big fan when the movie came out and read both his book. But I started to tire of him soon after and lost interest in all radio thanks to him. Only when I heard the O&A buzz did I try talk radio other than Rush again. And it was due to their buzz that I discovered the MIGHTY RON AND FEZ and they quickly became my favorite radio show ever.

They showed us all that you CAN be funny without degrading homeless people on your show. You don't need to act like anyone's superior to make your audience tune in. You just have to be funny. Stern WAS funny and he totally lost it in his bitterness.

Fuck off Stern.

I never caught onto him. I was probably too young to ever hear the good days of stern, and now its just re-hashed stuff that only people like myself who werent there at his prime think is great.

Don and Mike are like this, I remeber when i would come home from school in 3rd grade and turn on the show and my brother would tell me about how funny the show is. But now we both think it sucks and wish it would be more funny.

I used to listen to Stern since he was on WNBC

........and he was real funny then, but his "Das Love Boat" parady got him shit canned. When he went to K-Rock, the show changed and went downhill from there with childish immature humor and "shock" over susbtance. The show truly lost it when Hoo Hoo fired Jackie for 100th and final time.

I'd listen to Fat & Fatter before I'd ever listen to Stern again............and if he did attack Ron & Fez, then it's a compliment, since he only slams shows that are way better than his and pose a threat to his ratings.

Well this sucks. I only knew Stern on K-Rock. It seems that I missed the whole time he HAD to be really funny and was. Shit. I only started listening to him during period of time when he was starting to do pay-per-views and was on that MTV awards show as Fartman.

I really hope this story is bullshit and someone is fucking with you Perry... Stern has NO business talking about R&F. They never mention him, and they most CERTAINLY are not one of his supposed "clones". Ron & Fez are a class act. They're company men. They do what they have to do and get the job done, and with all that said, they're always mature enough to keep to themselves and not give a damn about faggy radio feuds. I didn't here him mention R&F friday, but he has done it once or twice a long time ago.

At this point, it's rather cliche to discuss how Stern has "jumped the shark", as it's pretty much well established.

It seems as if no one has corraborated whether Stern did talk about this last week, but we know he's done it before. Apparently, Stern has the idea in his head that anyone who speaks into the microphone for longer than 30 seconds in between songs - or worse yet, does a radio show with no music at all - is his 'clone,' and he has gone so far as to actually label R&F that.

Which only goes to show how absolutely little he truly knows about our boys.

I think Howard was at his prime during the channel 9 shows and when he had Billy West on the show. Then Billy left, Jackie continued to whine, and Howard dumped his wife.

I know Gary D. left a note on Fezzie's computer in the station thanking him for letting him use his computer one weekend. Gary had to come down and do some work. I think it was during the black out in NYC. I was sitting at Fezzies desk and saw a pic of Gary with a note to Fez on it. I know Ronnie listens to the Stern occassionally I do not think there is any ill will between the shows.

I too tired of Stern during the time he was in production of his movie, and I just couldnt take it anymore and finally stopped listening to him. I bet he began to lose the lions share of his audience around that time as well and only has himself to blame for it.

Anyway.. Howard Stern's pretty much my only option for talk radio here in NJ(man, I miss the boys). Stern used to be real good, and he has his flashes of brilliance here and there...

When he starts spouting off political junk(he reminds me of Imus when he does that for some reason), or starts plugging that Trimspa garbage or other stuff he probably doesn't really use, I cringe. Too bad it's become 90% of his show nowadays.

Most people think Stern was a lot better a long time ago, and I agree. I think when he divorced his ex-wife is when the show started going downhill.

As for him dissing the boys, I didn't hear anything about that on Friday's show but I do know he has made reference to 'clones' in the past. If he does talk serious smack by name, hopefully he gets smacked back. He was an innovator, but that was the past. He just seems so repetitive and un-innovative nowadays.

Amen to that brother...and I thought for a while that the best part of the show was when they did the news after West left. When I came home from college in May 1999 I was a hardcore O and A fan. And then that of course extended to Ron and Fez when they started in Feb 2000 (ahhh the .com days, memories). I worked a job where I listened to a lot of radio and was a lil surprised when I learned Stern let go of Jackie. Ohhhh well life goes on as they say...sie la vie

I think I know what this post is about. About 2 weeks ago, Stern was talking about the new 102.7 in New York, Music for Women, and how crappy it will be (agreed). He than gave a brief history of 102.7 going back to when it was the only real classic rock station in New York and than switched to the talk formula. He did trash Don & Mike and O&A (saying that "in a desperate attempt to outdo me, Opie & Anthony self destructed and got fired" (I agree on this too). He never ever said anything nasty about Ron & Fez.

Howard has become the Imus of our generation. I have listened to him since the early 90s on K-ROCK when he put in the effort that O and A or Ron and Fez put in. Now he's just an old man who plugs his movies, TV shows, and his production company. He name drops constantly and think that he invented radio. (But seriously I still actually like him).
