Aw, be nice to Mojo.
Although I myself remember saying to him that Arnold would win, and he disagreed.
Still, shan't we be gracious in our victory?
High Fly - your remark would have been more effective were it not the Democrat party in CA that caused all this mess.

I did indeed think Arnold didn't have a chance.
It's not because he's a Republican or the sex scandals or even because he's an actor...he just seems to have NO ideas or plans or solutions AT ALL. He seems as vague and clueless today as he did when he announced he was running. I figured the voters of California would be smarter than this. I guess not.
But hey, I was wrong. I'll fess up, because Lord knows it happens enough. And I hope I end I'm wrong about Arnold...I really, REALLY hope so...like Moe said, it's not our state, but given its size, California in the shitter does NOT bode well for the rest of the nation.

There was another, much, much, much, much, MUCH more qualified candidate out there in McClintock. You're talking like there were no alternatives. They wanted a change very badly, that is obvious. It's why Bustamante lost so decisively. And there was a qualified candidate out there.

DONT Get me going. HOW could they put out T-3
-No James Cameron [this is forgivable]
-No Linda Hamilton [unforgivable]
-No Edward Furlong [ditto]
I dunno; I guess I set my goals too high, but T-3 was so weak compared to T-2. If you havent seen the Directors Cut of T-2, you havent really seen the movie, IMHO. Ditto with his other Smash sequel, Aliens.
SO many scenes added; entire subplots revealed that were cut out of the original release.
Ugh.

unfortunatley, that's not gonna stop them from making a T4. they plan to bring him in for T5. Fuck them. They had a chance to complete a nice T-Trilogy with a decent movie but they had to go and negate everything that was done in the first two films. Assholes!

If I was in California, I probably would've voted for McClintock. Politically, I agree with Arnold more than McClintock, but McClintock came off as the most genuine candidate in the race. He had a solid base of ideas and it seemed like he sincerely wanted to implement them. I want to see how many votes the Gary Coleman, Mary Carey, and Gallagher got.

He seems as vague and clueless today as he did when he announced he was running.
What makes this truly scary is the vagueness was on purpose. The brave new world of 21st Century politics is all about getting elected. Governing... hell we'll worry about that later.
I saw an exit poll on CNN last night. 61% of the people didn't know where Arnold stood on the issues. 64% voted based on personality more than anything else.
These people are retarded.

How does Terry McAuliffe still have a job? The guy lost in Florida, gave the house of reps and senate to Republicans and now California has a Republican governor. He is the Nero of the democratic party. he struts around saying everything is ok while the world burns around him. The wheels are coming off the country and he can't get anybody elected.

I thik McClintock is qualified.
He's also utterly unelectable in California, at least as governor.
Bustamante was going pretty good, up until the debate with Arnold - he came off so poorly there that his image nosedived and he never recovered.
Arnold won for two reasons: a fair share of Democrats hated Davis THAT BADLY that they were willing to take ANYONE other than him, and Republicans realized that, pragmatically, Arnold was the only one of their kind who had a chance in hell of winning.
