This is the same public that 71% of which thinks Saddam Hussein was involved in 9-11, only 17% can find Iraq on a map, and just elected Ahnode governor of the most populous state. Might as well poll the mold in my fridge.

A majority of Americans who describe their political views as conservative perceive liberal leanings in the media, while only about a third of self-described liberals perceive conservative leanings.

THEY'RE DOING IT TO THEMSELVES!!!

The label-game is getting ghey...

But still, an overall majority feels it's either too conservative or "just fine"...so the country still seems pretty much split right down the line...and this study says these numbers have pretty much stayed the same for six years now.

Additionally, liberals are twice as likely to say that the media are too liberal (18%) as conservatives are to say they are too conservative (9%).

Very interesting.

Plus, about 4 in 10 Americans today identify themselves as conservatives and about the same number identify as moderates, while less than 20% identify as liberals.

Hmmm. I thought the majority would have selected "moderates". It's still pretty split.

I found it interesting that so many books are coming out and selling well that are basically the "left" view of issues covered by books like "Bias" or "Slander". Not that it's a GOOD thing...

Wel I know how I feel, but I must admit that polls are often retarded and I try to put as little faith in their results as I can these days.

There's a poll for everything these days too. WHO ARE THEY POLLING! If they poll 1000 people twice a day everyday in America, wouldn't I have been asked some questions by now?

Ask me and I'll give ya the straight poop!

There was a CNN Poll a ways back asking 100 Women what they thought about then President Clinton fooling around with young, impressionable girls.

The Results:

Approve: 15%
Disapprove: 55%
Never Again: 30%

Enjoy the Hummus.

I wouldn't. Unless it's cheese or penicillin, most Americans have an unfavorable opinion of mold.

Well, for me; you're either in or you're out, you either read all of it, or none of it. Seems so few in between.

And let me stress read. The amount of words in a one hour News program, if typed out, would fit on a simgle page of the NY Times. You MUST get out there and read the news reported by the US, the other Govs.

This isn;t a bragging thing, but as a teacher, I can get magazines for almost zilch. So I get:

About 10 Science Mags I wont bore you with

US News and World Report
The Week
Reason
Skeptic
The Economist
The Skeptical Enquirer
The NRA Newsletter
The NEA Newsletter

And listen to some Foreign Language Radio. Amazing stuff, to hear the News in India, or New Zealand, or wherver, in English. And then you wonder, what kind of spin are These giving me?

On a good week I skim 50% and read a bit of that in depth. And you know what? I feel clueless on World Affairs!

PS: Oh, and of Course, Maxim, FHM, Stuff, and Blender.
