ok; so now they are commenting on the selections used as bumper music when R+F come in from spots, and how you can tell who is around by the bumper music.
Q: Someone used to pick R+F bumper music that always, in some weird way, had to do with either the discussion at hand, or even signaled something else.
Example: When R+F said they were gonna play the Lee Ilea tirade, I would have grabbed Any song that had to do with or had Baseball, Chicago, Censorship, Losing It, Anger. And in rock, that's a lot of songs.
Example: They did a give away tonight with callers calling in worst animal attack. Well, I can think of many songs
werewolves of london
under pressure
hurt someone
hungry like the wolf
wow, those are pathetic, looking back, but ya know what I mean? Seems gay, but I loved it.
Hows the music library down there? i here not so good.
In my opinion, bumper music that follows the topics, and even makes ya guess as to how by being obscure about it = more gooder.
Who did that? Or am I trippin.

choosing bumper music involves some show prep. until the boys get a staff dedicated to the show instead of dedicated to the station, it might just become better. how long have they been in dc?

If you're thinking way back in the day, I think it was Dumpy that used to pick the bumper music. But, I get the feeling that Ron, being the Renaissance man that he is, would often think of music that was in some way connected to the discussion that they were having.
Oh, by the way, which one's pinky?

Yeah. Bummer.
And MonsterOne, I totally agree it takes some show prep, but, and I'm only using WNEW because they had a Huge library [whatever didnt get stolen, which happens at Every station] of music, and they had people who could pull music on a topic that was introduced by a caller right then and there.
As for WJFKs music library; it takes some time and work, but it's not that hard to throw a few hundred most popular tunes onto a Hard Drive. Many stations now don;t use the CDs anymore; they just rip what they want onto a HD.

Back in the day was before they moved to JFK. My favorite was when they came back from Billy's raping Iraqi women bit and they played "rape me"

whatever didnt get stolen
or thrown out into the streets by O&A...
And they often picked songs on the spur of the moment. I was in studio once when Rory and Fez were trying to figure out a specific song because they wanted to come back from break with it.
