Transvestite Rock?

What the hell is this?


I hear a song on the radio followed by the DJ saying something about a "transvestite singer". I didn't think anything of it but this morning i was flipping through the channels and saw this weird assbackwards video on VH1 with some gangly, one piece jumpsuit wearing singer and then i realized it was the song i heard on the radio last night.

This guy, whoever he is, looks like Ted Nugent after a barbituate binge and a bad makeover.

Has anyone else seen this?.....

I am aware Bowie crossed-dressed as well as everyone else who partook in the Glam Rock era.

Just want to know what THIS guy is doing ripping that whole thing off and if anyone else has seen it.

I havent seen the video but im 99% sure youre talking about The Darkness. I'v heard them on the radio a few times and a friend of mine saw them live a week or 2 ago. The lead singer plays in a jumpsuit with his bare chest an aweful 80's look.

..The Darkness isnt a transvestite band....from what i hear they are straight out of the Uk...first hated( because thye seem like a joke) then loved with albums rising high on the charts. The lead singer has a freaky but cool falsetto singing voice he didnt know he had until one night he was drunk and was singing karoake to Queens Bohemian rhapsody. They do look like they are straight out of the 80s though with the headbands and high jump guitar kicks....(the 80's kickass anyway)

The local rock station in Ny has them on their top 5 countdown for at least 2 weeks

I didnt think they were really transvestites but I dont really know anything about The Darkness.
I heard there single, still not sure if i like it or hate it. Its the kind of song I need to hear a dozen times before I know.
