Now that the World Series is here, I'm doing all I can to help my team win.

This includes:
1. Not watching the whole series (cuz when I watch my team usually loses)
2. Not watching it with my friends (when ever we try to have a World Series/Superbowl/sports party....yup- the team we're rooting for usually loses)

What superstitions/rituals do the rest of you do to assist your team to win.

Hey you never know.

Go Yanks!!! (I'm a bandwagoner......since the 70's)

When the Yanks rally I usually make sure everywhere stays where they were when the rally started.

O and I pray. In some ways you could call that a superstition

I just sit quietly with my Cubs Hat, Walkman, and Glove, pateintly waiting for a foul ball to come my way; I snag that baby every time!

My wife fell asleep on the couch during almost every Yankee win this postseason (including game 7 vs. the BoSox) . She fell asleep on the couch in the bottom of the ninth today and I woke her ass up when two runners got on.

that's 6 cats
first 3 by strangulation
the other 3 by various methods that I shall not mention on this family oriented discussion group.

erole's cat death/yankee score for tonight: 10

and that's how i get my hide-a-key too.

by the way, anyone up for chat during this game?

Well this season my ritual for the Red Sox winning was eating CLAM CHOWDAH.....and it failed me the one time when it counted.

I know during the Broncos-Packers series a couple of years ago I realized that everytime I coughed on second down, the Packers would have to punt it...that wasn't really as intentional as it was wierd because I realized it about two and half quarters into the game.

When I'm watching Ravens games, whenever they get into the red zone I turn whatever I'm wearing around. I started it during the season in which they would eventually win the Super Bowl and it was just kind of a comment on how the Ravens would hit the ten or twenty and then they would only go backwards so that Stover would have to hit a field goal every drive.

My best ritual for hockey games is not watching......ever
