I've had Sprint service for over 6 years and I don't have too many problems........yes, I get cut off every now and then, but every service does that at some point. I can't get a signal in the local Friday's, but was able to talk from Shea Stadium under cover during a rain delay to the Jersey shore with no problems. I've known at least 5 people who had Sprint, said it sucked, switched to another, then complained more and wished they had Sprint back, but are stuck in a year ( or two ) long contract.......go figure. I've been with Sprint for so long I'm grandfathered in with the month to month contract, so I'm happy and will stick with it.

I have Sprint also...for several years now. I'm pretty satisfied with it. I was in New Mexico a while back and called back to the city and had no problems whatsoever!!! Go figure!!!

verizon all the way! its the only phone service i know of that worked during the blackout, and an hour after 9-11 i was able to call my mother and father. and i had to let all my friends borrow my phone so they could call their family. verizon has that 2-way radio as well.

i have verizon, and i've been very happy with it. everyone in my family has it, too. it has pretty good service everywhere but westfield, nj. but there's really not too many good reasons to be there anyway.

Verizon usually rates the best of the wireless networks overall, including in the tri-state area.
For example here/, although this isn't specific to our area. But either way, Verizon consisitantly rates the highest in terms of coverage.

Check Consumer Reports for the ratings, but Verizon rates the highest with the best connection and least blackout spots.

I had sprint but had to get rid of it because I needed Nextel for work. The only difference I found between the two, besides the Direct Connect, is that Nextel has no roaming. Going upstate during the winter to snowboard I was screwed once I got off 87.

I too have Sprint and been using it for the last 4 years. I travel alot so a dependable cell phone is needed and so far Sprint has not failed me yet. Verizon and Nextel alwys gave me complications.
