Eric Idle is doing his "Greedy Bastard Tour", and he'll be at the Count Basie Theater on the 23rd. The tickets were a little expensive, but they're good seats, and I figure, what other opportunity do I have to actually see a member of Monty Python in person? I'm so excited, I can't wait! (Hopefully, Eric's performance will go over better than Billy Staples' did awhile back...)

Oh, by the way, which one's pinky?

Gained notoriety for a complete mental collapse during a live stand-up show at the Count Basie Theater in Redbank, New Jersey.

I thought about getting tickets for the NY show, but didn't think I'd be able to make it that night.

Idle's Rutles specials and films are, in my opinion, neck and neck with "This Is Spinal Tap" as being the best musical-comedy-film-thing EVER.

While it was awful when George Harrison died, I couldn't stop imagining what the Rutles would have done...

Eric was AWESOME!!! He sang all his great songs, and did some old Python bits, as well as some new ones. The only flaw in the whole evening was these yuppie, middle aged, asswipes that sat in front of me, who kept going out to the lobby for drinks, so they kept standing up during the middle of the performance. After the show was over, Eric signed autographs. He signed my shirt that I bought there, and I got to shake his hand! That's the first time in my life I've ever been really starstruck. He looks a lot better in person than he does on tv. He's coming to New York soon, I think, so, go and see him, if you can! Highly recommended.

his head smashed in and his heart cut out
and his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
and his nostrils raped and his bottom burnt off
and his pen...
