There was no legitimate offer to turn down because bin Laden was not in the Sudan at the time the offer was made. And even if he WAS a viable offer at the time, Clinton hardly would have made the decision on his own. The CIA advised Clinton to NOT cater to the Sudanese because our intelligence and information from the Saudi Arabians made it very clear that bin Laden was not in the Sudan at the time the offer was made. That's the job of our intelligence community. THEY told Clinton what to do. So despite numerous attempts to make it sound as if Clinton coldly turned down a chance to prevent 9/11...this was hardly the case, if at all.

If this information was wrong, then who was at fault? Well, let's see...how about the organization that would have essentially told Clinton what he should do...the CIA? The same organization that has almost singlehandedly gotten us into this Iraq mess in the first place? But no, let's keep pointing fingers at Bush, or Clinton, and continually ignoring the desperately awful faults with our intelligence community...
