Something about the new VH1 logo bugs the crap out of me.
What's the damn leaf for?
Looks like a logo for some herbal/aromatherapy product.
Am I the only person who's disturbed by this stupid thing?

I like the new logo. I don't care for the new programming though. But I did also like the old logo too.

I don't like and think it's too big in the bottom corner of the screen.

Is it a leaf? ...Or is it a flame?

It's actually a "rich contour".
From a VH1 press release:
"The new VH1 logo is bold and colorful - an apt expression of our brand today, as well as the reflection of the music and pop culture landscape we represent. Its basic concept is that it can react to all the styles that shape that landscape. We call it the chameleon logo. While its signature shape will always remain constant, its typography and color can change to reflect the different experiences represented in the programming. We are a window to those experiences and like music and pop culture, we are consistantly adapting and changing."
... or something like that.
No one that works for VH1 liked it either. Someone in Programming Design did, and somehow it got through.
