like in gram content. mg is obviously milligram. What's mcg?

1 milligram (mg) = 1000 micrograms (mcg)

here's one more question, what's I.U.? Like when something has 3500 I.U. of Vitamin A.

mcg is also often abbreviated ug (u for the greek letter mu).
An I.U. is an international unit and it varies depending on the substance it measures, i.e. it depends on what the international community has decided it to be for that particular substance (usually vitamins), not its weight or anything.
