When you go grocery shopping, does the nutrition fact labels on food influence what you buy?

Do people even bother reading them.

For some that do read the labels, they misread them by not looking at the "as per serving" when a product contains 36 servings (like iced tea mix).

Also beware of foods that are labeled as "fat free" because some of them are high in sodium content. (like certain salad dressings)

Just a friendly service announcement.

Yes, I do. My mom has a heart condition which has made me a lot more concious of what I eat. That don't mean I don't eat good, but I am aware of whats in the food.

When I was in my 20's and 30's I found it
uproariously funny that a pint of Ben and Jerry's was 4 servings. Now I realize the need to SLOW DOWN as my metabolism does.

Yeah, I read them often. Sometimes when comparing in the supermarket, you'll find 2 items that have different amounts of one thing or another, but they'll both claim to have the same RDA %.

Most American foods have nutritional labels that give suggested average daily doses of various "ingredients" (Fat, sodium, carbs, sugar, vitamins, etc.) for average and high calorie diets. Anyone who understood basic math should be able to figure out the rest. If not, you deserve to be the monstrous beast you've become.
