11K posts and counting and i haven't seen this guy at any of the recent events...

I am finally planning to go to an event, but this is just a little scary.

Let me put it this way: I CAN afford to get into the city in my car. But I CAN'T afford to pay for a parking garage.

So if I circle for like an hour and can't get parking I won't be there. Also, if traffic makes me late and the place is full, don't expect to see me cause I'm not sitting outside the place all night.

where do you live Moe? I'm driving in from Jackson with my wife and thinking about parking in Jersey City or Hoboken and taking the train over. I still have to figure it out on what trains to take. Maybe the Path to 34th and then a taxi. I don't know if there's free parking near the train stations though....

would anyone have some info on this?

I can surely help with some first hand info on this subject. While I hate mass transit this is actually the smartest way to go about getting to the "Hard Rock Cafe". Your only problem will be finding parking in Hoboken where you will in all likelihood pay for a spot in a lot. The rest you already have figured out.
