Short Skirt, Long Jacket

This has been annoying me for awhile, mainly because the Hard Rock thing is coming up and what I am wavering on wearing is a long skirt BUT seeing as it will be cold i will need a jacket of sorts and i know short jackets shouldn't be worn with long skirts(so I've been told). I have this long sweater type deal that should suffice but I am not sure if i will be making a fashion "faux pau" by wearing it.


If it is a faux pau I'm just wearing jeans and a hoodie.


And yeah i know this thread title is not exactly accurate but it was the only thing i could think of.

Darlin', I have never known you to just go along with what should be or should'nt be. Your best assest is that you march to the beat of your own drum. Having said that, who gives a shit if short jacket goes with long skirt, if YOU think it looks good go for it. That is the best advice I can give ya. Hell I look like shit when i go out most of the time anyway so......
P.S. Chances are we will be standing on line for quite some time outside, so it will be VERY cold out there.

Maybe I should draw your little character there in a variety of outfits and then you can choose. Me personally, I always like the hoodie/semi-baggy jeans thing. Kind of show how you don't take yourself too seriously AND you can also look good at the same time. Then againmaybe it is just the hardcore and punk oozing from your veins that makes a hoodie and the jeans thing just work so well.

You're going to freeze no matter what you wear. A long sweatercoat would work with a long skirt but it depends on what type of top youre wearing with it. If you were wearing a skimpy top with the skirt, I think a sweatercoat would work fine.

I'm planning on wearing a short skirt with boots and tube top thingee. The only jacket I have is a really thin one, so we can both be freezing.
