For everyone that is curious about what has happened it seems as though WJFK wasn't very happy with the "retrospective" content of tonight's remote show. While I am not completely sure it seems as though this is the case.

I just spoke with "Hard Rock Johnny" to let him know they were pulled and he informed me that they were aware and everyone is just chillin' having a good time.

Ron and Fez will be on live on Monday. They will not be getting in trouble for anything. I bet they had some visitors on stage who Infinity does not want on their airwaves. So we missed 2 breaks it is not going to kill us.

We will not know for sure until the people who were at the show let us know for sure.

As of now this is what seems to have happened. With that said I must admit I was very surprised WJFK and Infinity gave the remote show a green light because that kinda thing was sure to happen. Turns out it was a success for all nonetheless.

I was at the Hard Rock tonight. They went to break around 8:20 and it just kept stretching and stretching there was no mention of any technical difficulties. Finally at 9:10 Ron announces that the technical difficulties are fixed and that there are back on the air. During that entire down time there was no show.Everyone was milling around and Ron and Fez were as usual grascious to everyone who went up to them.
Tonight started out great but once that long stretch happened the show felt like a mess. How didi it sound over the air?

honestly, it sounded less anthused that previous nyc events. i wasn't there and am not sure about the circumstances, but the crowd seemed not too into it. could have been how it was miced, idon't know...

The crowd was very into it at first.
First off we were in this private rooms with about 4 to 6 people to a table . We were all enthusiastically
applauding,hootin and hollering. As they show progressed the room filled nicely it was basically SRO.. That long ass break fucked it all up.Peoplebroke up into little groupsand began ignoring the show. A couple of guys I don 't know who they were decided to basically do there own show. Then the band started playing and the show wasn't miked .so it became impossible to hear them .
It was great to see Ron and Fez again but this event just spiraled out of control. Thats my opinion anyway.

I was there and i must say that when the technical dificulties started was when Al Dukes arrived and all the fans started a "Dukes is Gay" Chant. It wasn't untill they actual when to break that they discovered that the feed was dropped.

The crowd was damn good, met a lot of cool people, both new and old.

Oh and Too Cute i was the dork in the "blood tour" shirt, flannel, and shirt around the waist that coughed up a couple dollars for the fundraiser during Retard Races, i mean Sparkle Motion, i mean Crankcase's intermission.

The show was amazing, and if someone can, get me the sound clip of Ron saying "Another visual joke on the radio"

The crowd was good, you just had to be there to actually experience it. It was amazing, yet a tease at the same time.

Now i miss the boys even more

After Earl was on air they went to commercial where the show went via a clean cut to "Best Of's". Ironically it was one of my favorite segments with the "Jimmy Christ and Sons of Thunder" stories.

Well, just got home, Crankcase were great as usually, I met alot of old and new faces. Death Metal Moe did show up if anyone was wondering. Everyone had a good time, and a strange event occurred look like a fight. security jumped into action people was still wondering why it occurred. I took over 50 pics, which I will send to RF.net this weekend. It was good to see the entire cast, Ron,Fez, Rory(old one), hawk,black earl, and the others. nicebronxgal, did I meet you at the hard rock

HAAAAAAAA ha ha ha ha ha ha HAAAAAAA!!!

Man that was a great time! 1st and foremost, I got to hear RON AND FUCKING FEZ again LIVE AND IN PERSON! And if there ever was a slow point in their show when it moved, it was not with them tonight. They were sharp and quick as ever. I was laughing until I was red in the face pounding on the table.

2nd, both bands that played were awesome. The opening band was very kewl, but I would be lying if I didn't say I was looking forward to Crankcase AKA Sparkle Motion AKA Retard Races a little more. They were awesome. I mean, I love Metal but Metal owes rock most of it's life so I can dig the rock. And Crankcase played it very well. Good job guys.

And 3rdly, I got to meet a whole mess of people FINALLY! I got there with Dynamite K and Todd EVF a little too early, and Mikeyboy was there waiting, so we chatted with him. Then, Fez showed up! We got there before the tallent! Jesus, do I feel stupid. But then I got to meet Ink Girl, Best in Show, Contra, Fuzzybutt, Skidmark, Pantera and like 30 other people that would be too numerous to mention.

So in summary, the Ron and Fez part of the night was great, the bands were great and all the people I met were really great too.

And a bunch of people said it to me so I guess it's my new slogan or whatever:

I'm the nicest Asshole they've ever met.

I got there @ 7. I asked the bartender about the live broadcast, and he asked a waitress who told me that it was a private party. So to be honest I was a little disappointed ; I figured oh well, this is not open to everyone, so I left, and came back about an hour and a half later.

Now I'm pretty sure she was wrong because the broadcast was later open to everyone to the point that the room was packed and felt like a sauna.

From the Daily News today:

GHOST OF O&A: A Washington-area media watch sheet says Infinity Broadcasting still seems to be touchy about former WNEW hosts Opie and Anthony.

Infinity chief Mel Karmazin blasted them during a press conference on Infinity quarterly earnings last week and then on Friday night, there was speculation that Infinity cut short a live Ron and Fez remote broadcast because the crowd started chanting, "O and A!"

Ron and Fez, also formerly of WNEW, were broadcasting live from the Hard Rock here to their current station, WJFK in Washington. With about an hour left, WJFK switched to a best, saying it was having "technical difficulties."

The real reason, suggests the media sheet DCRTV in Washington, was the "O and A!" chant, which began when Anthony Cumia of Opie and Anthony showed up - even though he didn't go on the air.

Infinity is appealing an FCC notice that would fine the company $357,000 for O&A's infamous "sex in St. Patrick's broadcast" of summer 2002.

I listened to the show today and it does appear that the crowd wasn't as loud as on previous occaisions, though I'm wondering if it just wasn't miked right or if there was a audio issues from that standpoint. Aside from that it sounded like a great show, hearing Dumpy again, and Al Dukes, it was all good. I wish I could have been in attendance. I have no excuses, but it sounds like all that went go to see a great show.

I'd like to point out that anything, unless it comes from Ron or Fez themselves, is pure speculation.

I'd also like to point out that Anthony was at the Halloween show, with an accompanying O&A chant, and there was no pulling of the show.

Please don't think Mel and his cronies sit around listening to JFK.

I would like to believe that if the show was pulled, it was by the PD of JFK or whoever was monitoring the show back the studio.

I've heard a lot of speculation. But I also know that sometimes technical difficulties can be just that... technical difficulities.

Funny how y'all turn your nose down on Sniffen yet treat DCRTV like god when they are the same exact type of thing... a higher-class dirtsheet.
