Jerry "the King" Lawler was on the Opie and Anthony radio show today on 102.7 WNEW FM in New York (I listened on 104.1 WBCN FM in Boston). Here's my recap:
Opie and Anthony are talking about WOW (Whip em Out Wednesday). He says Steph doesn't have puppies, she's got rottweiler's now. They ask what happened with Stacy (The Kat) and the WWF. They have been married since last September, two hours before they were supposed to go on air for Smackdown!, they were all set to do a angle, then Jim Ross says Vince McMahon told him he wants to give Stacy her release. Vince and J.R. wanted King to tell her.
They wouldn't tell him why she was fired, so he said if she has to go, so does he. He could never get to the bottom of it. He said he's gave up a great gig, almost a half a million a year, he said he thought she was worth quitting over, turns out she's not. He talks about her leaving him, O&A laugh at him and say it's a sorry story. King says he's lonely, O&A were shocked, they had no idea she left him. King talks about posting the news on his website, he bared his soul to the world on the internet.
Stacy is currently living in Florida, she changed her phone numbers and he can't contact her. King said he's almost embarrassed to call Vince now. O&A play a song about a women leaving a guy in the background. O&A miss the King on WWF TV, King keeps updated on the WWF on the net, but hasn't watched the WWF since he quit.
Jerry said he didn't see Stacy leaving him coming at all, he had no idea. She was in Florida for a couple weeks, came home and said "we need to talk". King was in denial, he says he has gotten about 50,000 emails from fans since this happened. O&A ask who she's banging. Kat says king is too controlling and she needed some space, does that mean she met a guy with a bigger shlong?
King is trying to move on and meet other women. The only contact he has with Stacy is a couple of emails the past few weeks, she said he needs to move on and find someone else. O&A want to find a girl for Jerry to bang. He has had no contract with the WWF about a return recently, they wanted him back a few months ago, but they wouldn't take Stacy back so he declined.
O&A said the ultimate slap in the face would be if the WWF hired Stacy back. Director Kevin Smith (Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back) calls in from Los Angeles. He plugs his movie, Jerry says he's going to see it. O&A say to King "here's a guy with a good career going". Kevin said he wouldn't give up directing for his wife. Kevin is on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight. Jerry plugs a few personal appearances in New Jersey and Long Island. Jerry has never seen a Kevin Smith movie. He plugs KingLawler.com, he has a new valet named Donna.

King asks what they think of Heyman, O&A says he's alright. King says JR is a perfect play by play guy and King was a funny guy, but now we have Heyman doing the same thing as JR. King says bringing Stacy into wrestling ruined his marriage. They want to set up getting chicks for Jerry and tell him to hold on the line. They say goodbye and end of interview.
