I agree. This version is better than the version that immediately preceded it, however the blue box delineated the quote more distinctly from the body of the new message. Perhaps a variation can be dreamt up and implemented. For now, this one is fine.

To be honest it never occurred to me that my inane little thread about the quote boxes would insult anyone. It certainly was not intended that way.

Who knows, if I was involved in designing this website, perhaps it would piss me off as well.
