Need help breaking up with a girl :(

I need some advice here..

I have tried to break up with her in person many times. She responds by refusing to leave me alone. One time she drove an hour to my house and just stood in my roo until I decided to be nice to her. Another time she sat in my car for an hour and a half yelling at me until I made up and took her back.

She tells me I have no right to break up with her.

I tried doing it over the phone.. she responded by not hanging up. When I did hang up she just called back over and over and over late into the night on both of my land lines and cell phones. I took both land lines off the hook and turned off my cell phone. I awoke the next morning with over 60 text messages on my phone from her.

I am now trying to just ignore her.. but she keeps calling me at work and at home. I can't seem to get away. She wrote me an email telling me that unless I give her a good reason for ignoring her she will never leave me alone and how I can't ignore her forever.

I am running out of ideas.. what do I do to get away from someone like this? We can get into a HUGE fight and then the next morning she acts like nothing at all happens. When I ask why she was so angry the night before she tells me she can't remember what happened.

I have tried blocking her on IM as well. She just messages me with 12 different names. She has started to message all of my friends as well. They block her but she just does the different name thing to get around that.

I am defeated.. what do I do?

Ignoring her, like DW said will only infuriate her more but i wouldn't take her calls. If you're young I'd have your parents pick up the phone and tell her to stop calling and warn her to not call back, that might help to keep herin place.

if she shows up at your house just don't let her in, don't pick her up or take her anywhere either.

Just distance yourself gradually don't cut her off altogether too fast.

but the way you make it out to sound...was the relationship going down the toilet really all her fault?

Most times, people in relationships don't realize that they've made mistakes also and take any opportunity to blame the other person.

I saw in one of the replies...it says that you've TRIED cheating on her? What happened with that? Did she find out? And did she take you back?

Most people would not give their significant others a second chance when something like that happens...but if I'm assuming correctly, she took you back, right? That's got to mean something...either she's one of those girls who can't see that she's in a destructive relationship..or she's one tough cookie. She took you back and forgave you for your betrayal of her trust.

What happened that made you break up with her for good? Did she cheat on you back? Or maybe she just never got over you cheating on her?

that's not her fault, if it's the second one. By taking you back, you're supposed to make sure that she has NO DOUBTS whatsoever in her mind about you. Did you do that? Did you assure her that it would never happen again..did you assure her that you realized your mistake and would never hurt her like that again?

This is getting long...I dont want to get into a whole lot on here. But take it from someone who's been through a few relationships too many. The end of a relationship is NEVER only one person's fault.

So don't be so quick to shift the blame all on her.
