Some recent quotes from our fearless leader:
THE PRESIDENT: The Ambassador and the General were briefing me on the -- the vast majority of Iraqis want to live in a peaceful, free world. And we will find these people and we will bring them to justice.

--
Q Mr. President, your policies on the Middle East seem, so far, to have produced pretty meager results as the violence between Israelis and Palestinians --
THE PRESIDENT: Major or meager?
Q Meager.
THE PRESIDENT: Oh, okay.
Q Meager.
THE PRESIDENT: Meager.
And on Condi Rice's new role:
THE PRESIDENT: ....her job is also to deal interagency and to help unstick things that may get stuck, is the best way to put it. She's an unsticker. And -- is she listening? Okay, well, she's doing a fine job.

It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Don't worry, bootlickers, Dubya's not the only one who says dumbass things. Enter Trent Lott:
Lott suggested moving more troops from the relatively stable south closer to the region around Tikrit, where attacks on U.S. forces have been common. He said there was a need for more trained military police, adding that his comments were not a criticism.
"Honestly, it's a little tougher than I thought it was going to be," Lott said. In a sign of frustration, he offered an unorthodox military solution: "If we have to, we just mow the whole place down, see what happens. You're dealing with insane suicide bombers who are killing our people, and we need to be very aggressive in taking them out."

Mow the whole place down, eh? I'll bet the Iraqis would unquestioningly welcome such behavior from their beloved liberators.

I think he means that we, or maybe more specifically, you, are of the boot licking type. That you have a fetish of licking ones, or someone else's, boot.
That is just sick.

Heh heh heh, good one AJ.
No, the item that comes to mind is recently the Prez was in the Philippines and addressed the leader of the country as "Mr. President."
Which would be ok if he wasn't referring to a woman.

Yeah thats the thing with me...
All this politics, it's exactly why i loathe it, because its not the message, it's the messenger.
Maybe W is truly dumb.
But I have met some horrific speakers. One flew on Apollo 10 [Tom Stafford] and one walked on the Moon Apollo 12 [Pete Conrad]. Hell even Buzz get's flustered easily.
What I'm saying is these guys were aeronautical engineers and test-pilots. HAD to have both to apply. So often you get: A nerd who can execute and take a 5G barrel roll. Who becomes world famous by being picked to be an astro. but he still talks like a nerd. The Mercury 7? Did you see The Right Stuff? That wasn't BS, Gus Grissom and Deke Slayton had southern drawls that were horrific. And they didnt speak. They just never, ever talked. Horrific Shyness. They actually hid from the press.
So; maybe there are presidents that cant speak, but know what they are doing. This one? I have no idea. I'm not defending him.
Because as much as I Loathe Clinton and Cuomo, they are Public Speaking Machines. Even as I saw through his bullshit, I could see Clinton could deliver a speech. You can Monday Morning it all you want. He came out of a bunch of nobodies, and probably won on his speaking ability. Certainly not his ethics.
Ditto with Reagen. People hated him. And at the same time? His speeches at the Conventions? Un-fucking-real. Amazing. I'm talking talent to speak here folks, not like or dislike.
And dont flame me for that. I dislike it all; Rep, Dem, Green Ind, Soc, fucking Whig party. George Carlin said the entire system was bought and sold ages ago. a bit pessimistic, but...

I seriously don't know, but are their "foriegn Baathists" in terms of Iraq. Because I know Bush said today that the people giving the US trouble are "Baathists and/or foriegn terrorist allies to the old regime" to paraphrase. I was under the impression that the Baath party was just an Iraqi party, but I could be wrong.

I believe there are Baathists in Syria.
