Lawyer Shot Outside Trial (http://courttv.com/trials/blake/103103_ap.html)
Seems a disgruntled person decided to whack their attorney. This lawyer is the luckiest guy alive.

2 things you need to know when someone is shooting at you:
1. When running away, run in a zig-zag pattern not a straight line.
2. Hide behind a tree.
Did you know that? (Opps...wrong thread)
Did you see it on t.v. too?
P.S. what's the answer the the # of triangles Mike?

I'm guessing that he wasn't exactly thinking rationally.

I saw this on CourtTv today. The lawyer is incredibly lucky...and the shooter is an incredibly bad shot. Apparently, he did hit him at least once, but his injuries are not life threatening. The shooter also had a second gun that for whatever reason he chose not to use. Nice tackle by that off duty cop.

Does the video remind anyone else of The Naked Gun when guys are hiding behind the same trash can shooting at each other and missing?

They'll have to do better than that if they want this to surpass OJ.

The shooter should be fined 2 or 3 hundred dollars.
Maybe spend a coupla weekends picking up trash as community service.

i saw the film-clip. it looked like the lawyer was bleeding from near the bridge of the nose, i thought he got shot in the forehead. kind've like in that Harrison Ford movie with Henry in the title.
David Katz, an off-duty Los Angeles sheriff's reserve officer, said he strategically tried to take the culprit by surprise. In an interview with Court TV, Katz, who is also a lawyer, attributed his police training as well as luck in his successful apprehension of the suspect.
isn't it a bit late to be taking credit for this. the guy already committed his crime and he was 64 years old. what did training have to do with taking the guy down?
