That would be Ronald Reagan Jr., son of the 40th POTUS.

Link (http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/04/14/ron_reagan/)

"The big elephant sitting in the corner is that George W. Bush is simply unqualified for the job... What's his accomplishment? That he's no longer an obnoxious drunk?"

"The Bush people have no right to speak for my father, particularly because of the position he's in now," he said during a recent interview with Salon. "Yes, some of the current policies are an extension of the '80s. But the overall thrust of this administration is not my father's -- these people are overly reaching, overly aggressive, overly secretive, and just plain corrupt. I don't trust these people."

So, why does he hate America so much?

Given President Reagan's flaccid response to terrorists killing and injuring Americans, this looks like a bad move by Junior.
Reagan's failure to strike back after it was discovered that Saddam had approved of a bombing campaign against US airliners, terrorist attacks on US embassies, troops and citizens, served to encourage the idea that the US was a "paper tiger" in the minds of terrorists.

I honestly don't know. Considering that his daughter was indifferent to the release of John Hinkley, I take what the children of this American hero say with a grain of salt.

actually, Ron Reagan is an acclaimed writer (though leaning heavily to the left). He wrote a Father's day article in Esquire last year that brought a tear to my eye.

I have no excuses for what's her name. Her hatred for her parents, especially Nancy, is off the charts.

I really hope his wife isn't an undercover CIA operative, because if she is he's just asking for trouble.

I have a question for all of you, and I want your honest opinion.

Would you all mind if I spent my time here on this message board posting nothing but flame-baiting anti-Democrat / liberal threads? One right after the other?

Cause it doesn't seem as if anyone really minds when Doomstone does it, despite the fact that his threads don't foster honest and frank discussion on a topic so much as they are deliberately sensational and inflammatory.

I was wondering if I could get away with the same bullshit.

I don't really want to, I just want to see if I could.

How 'bout it, gents? Do I have your a-okay?

Seven, when Doomstone first started posting, we yelled at him. Now we just kind of ignore him, and the thread usually dies out. I don't remember the last time i clicked on one of his links.

That being said, Doomstone, if you could just cut out all the bombast and inflammatory arguments, you'd be a decent poster.

For the most part, I try to ignore him. As I learned with Bunny, the more you argue and yell at these posters, the more they enjoy it, and the more they post.

Doomstone is not a poster. He is an instigator who ignores the guidelines which clearly state that you should post something more than news articles. Doomstone pulls his "Hit and run" nonsense and never shows his face in that thread again. Yerdaddy, Darkhippie, and Mojopin are all liberal commies, but they are well-informed and defend the claims they make.

Like I've said, posters like this are just agitators and serve only to reflect upon THEMSELVES. Better left ignored, as most of Doomstone's threads are.

I have read this thread, and I have but one thing to say:

When making a decision on whether to run or to walk, one must always keep in mind that there is no smoke coming out of the chimney at Nigel's place. For when the bakery runs out of cheese danishes, the only thing left to do is wonder, what ever became of that girl in the short red skirt with the cute poodle dog? That this in fact is the screed of criminals and poets alike, should make everyone north of Kinsasha realize what lies have been told by the elders to the young seamstresses.

Flowers die, but moonrocks live forever. Find the organ grinder within your soul, before Gordon Shumway reaches the obelisk. Then and only then shall the sands of time reveal the true calling of humans and mole-rats alike.

Thank you and good day.

Getting back to topic (if that's possible)...

There should be a law that no relative (including wives) of any President or former President should be allowed to make any public political statements.

In every interview I've ever read or seen with Ron junior, he comes off as bitter and condescending. Maybe it's the genes from Nancy, Reagan's daughter from his first marriage seemed to be a decent human being from all accounts.

Go away young Ron, and take your sister, Chelsea Clinton and Amy Carter with you.

well sometimes threads do start that are fucking ridiculously anti-left. Certainly not as blatantly biased as Doomstone, but biased all the same. Bias will always play a role though.

and the fact that I was not included in NYD's latest post disturbs me. I contend I am the biggest commie on the entire board, and therefore promise to work harder to become "commie #1" in everyone's minds". :)

Go ahead, SE7EN, I just loves to take apart that phony Ronald Reagan hagiography that's sprung up over the last several years.

I notice none of the Gipper's fans seem to be able to handle it when I describe ol' Dutch's dealings with Saddam or Iran, and how about his only response to terrorists killing Americans consisted of him twitching his head, affecting a grin and telling one of those charming 'old Hollywood' stories that we all found so heartwarming.
