You know, I have that commercial embedded in my brain and I can't get it out. Yet I still didn't see it and probably won't see it. Same goes for skin and pretty much every other fox series.

I had A D on in the background and I chuckled a few times but that was about it. I liked how it was narrated and how it had the little "history" bits here and there to establish the character. Also, No Laugh track + more gooder.

I agree with that about the FOX Series'. They all seem to be explained without having to watch it because of all of the advertising. Maybe a one hour recap or 24 will do me good instead of wasting 24 hours to see what is already obviously going to happen.

1) Portia Rossi is a lesbian. Sorry guys.

2) David Cross is completely unfunny in this show. His character looks like a cross between Ned Flanders and the Pedophile of the Week on Law and Order.

3) Some of the jokes on tonight's show were just not that funny. The money in the banana stand was telegraphed from a mile away. and the "Must wash Failure Stench Off!" gag was lifted from the Simpsons among other sources.

That being said...

The inappropriate behavior between the cousins is hilarious. The look of pure terror on George Michael's face is great.

Also, T-Bone is hilarious. I hope there's more of him involved in the show, and it wasn't just a guest spot.

Bateman and Tambor are really good as well. But the show needs some work.

I doubt a broadcast network will commit to 10 episodes, but this would fit perfectly on FX.

I hope they make a new (mini) series ONLY.
While I am intrigued about the movie... I gotta say... I like the format of the TV show. The short running time... the commerical breaks... the bumpers... the scenes from next week... ALL OF IT was part of the charm & tone of the show. All those little devices were integral to the magic that was Arrested Development.
Having said that... I'm gonna see the shit outta that movie on opening night. Twice.

No one has said an AD movie would get a theatrical release. Honestly, I can't see this being successful in theaters.

Look at Glee, that show has a huge following, gets high ratings each week, but when the movie came out earlier this year it seemed their fans just didn't show up.

I expect this will be a TV movie or straight to DVD/VOD, possibly an exclusive Netflix or Hulu type deal.
