I read this in the "Mailbag" section of DCRTV.com and thought I'd share. This guy sums up perfectly why Ron and Fez are the best:
"Thursday's Don and Mike Show was possibly the worst thing I've ever heard. The show's been in a freefall quality-wise for quite some time, but Don's rant about how no one shows up for their contests anymore, and those that do are ugly, was really just painful to listen to. Seems to me they could take a lead from Ron and Fez (who have quickly eclipsed D&M as the big dogs on JFK in quality, if not ratings). Whenever R&F hold a contest, they not only announce it a couple of weeks in advance, as opposed to D&M's habit of announcing it two days before and then acting surprised when people don't rearrange their schedules for them, and their contests aren't inherently humiliating for those who participate. Seriously, how many people, attractive or otherwise, are going to jump at the chance to stuff a marshmallow in their ass and run a race, or take off their clothes in a roomful of people for strip trivia? R&F's pool tournament, having listeners shoot paintballs at J-Dubbs, comedy pyramids, etc., are a lot more audience friendly. They let their listeners feel like part of the show, instead of making them look like idiots. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that R&F seem to actually *like* their listeners, unlike D&M, who often sound like, at best, they barely tolerate their listeners, and at worst, outright detest them.
