Ok now, Just rip the caps lock key out off your keyboard, place it on the floor, and back away slowly.

There's a few places called Reubens downtown - one a few blocks from South Street Seaport, on Fulton, one near Battery Park, and another in Soho somewhere. Good stuff.

Cool article with a recipie here (http://www.fiery-foods.com/dave/nancy0702.asp).
I didnt realise how many kinds of "turnover" or hot breaded meat pockets there are across the world. Almost every culture has some sort of variant!

Donkey meat?
Or has my favorite TV show lied to me?
Why does a store called Reubens sell empanadas?
A guy walks into a bar. I forgot the punchline, but your mother's a whore...

If you want a great empanada with great hot sauce, go to La Fonda on Steinway Street in Astoria. Or go to any local Colombian restaurant and you will be taken care of.

If you should ever travel out east, come out to Brentwood, L.I. which is the second most hispanic area in the east coast, and go to any bodega that sells "comeda hispana" and you'll get hooked up. I've been to 95% of them in Brentwood and all of them are GOOD!
