The good news is Grim Sanity was able to get me a PS2 for a VERY fair price. So now I finally have one. Thanks again Grim Sanity! He actually gave it to me before I paid him. I still owe him for it.

The BAD news. I had no money to get games or the memory card. I had a dual shock controller from my PS1 and picked up a cheap RF thing.

So I rented the new Castlevania game for PS2, and it RULES! But I just turned it off and everytime I start it I have to begin all over again. This is WEAK!

SO why should you care? I don't know. At least I'm not smoking crack.

Grim Sanity just gave the the PS2 he fixed for me without paying him because I really didn't have the money right then. So I just got the RF thing and that was all I could really afford for it.

I've been playing some old PS1 games on it for fun, but this is the 1st time I've played a PS2 game on the PS2 and I have no memory card. They're like 20 bucks new and I just haven't had that to spare for a few weeks.

And I will take you up on your offer Snoogans. We just have to chill soon.

I'm such a Metal Gear Solid fan I had to rent a PS2 and MGS2 from blockbuster since I didn't have one when it came out 2 years ago.

X-Box? Really. I've seen that the graphics are great, but all I hear about these days is how much Microsoft is losing on them.

And it seems that every good game that is on the X-Box is also on the PS2. The exclusive games aren't that impressive in my opinion.

I love my Xbox and Xbox live a lot, but I'm not going to say it's 10x better than PS2. I'm assuming you're basing that on the hard drive, which is really dumb.

If you can only have 1 system GameCube is the one to get.

Actually, I have and love my Gamecube. It's just that Grim Sanity was able to get me the PS2 so cheaply, and I always wanted one because of all the good games that never make it to the Cube.

Better online packages, has a hard drive, PS2 doesn't have a single game that would make me want PS2 instead of X-Box, X-Box has better graphics and the controllers don't make me want to vomit. X-Box will only get better too. Microsoft made the X-Box with a 5 year plan in mind.

and Gamecube is the gays. Like I don't know why people like that. Those are the same people that think that that Igasomething game is really deep.

the online thing isnt much different, if i want a hard drive i have a computer, and in my opinion the games that the system share dont matter, they share them. the games they dont share suck for x box and are usually good for PS2, even if it doesnt look as good, its a miniscule difference and i think the gameplay is better and easier to get a hold of on PS2. plus the controller for xbox is ugly and retarded

well we're discussing video games, I don't need to be educated here. and I don't even know if you were then being serious later in the post. Because then its ironic, and if not, then you are inadvertently saying true things. Because I don't really know why someone would play Mario Party when given other alternatives. And Gamecube is ultimately filled with Japanese games, kiddie games, and Resident Evil games (which are basically evolving into Japanese games). That Ikarauga (spelled completely wrong I'm sure) game is the game that everyone touts as being the best for Gamecube and it involves pressing one button. That disgusts me.

and Snoogans we just have inherent differences in opinion I guess. I can't play computer games for too long without wanting to kill myself, think that X-Box makes their games better, and think that the PS2 controller is ugly. And you can get a smaller controller for X-Box (even if I think that's wussing out).

I haven't played Wind Waker. The other two just aren't my type of game. They don't impress me enough to give up the graphics that X-Box provides. And plus the DVD player built in is better because I don't have a DVD player. And i'm mostly talking about Japs and guys who think they are superior to regular gamers who say Imafaggot is a great game. Sorry to take this thread off topic even more, but I thought this might be interesting for Xbox fans.

There's a huge rumor that on Nov. 15 (2 year anniversary of Xbox) Bungie is going to release a Deluxe Halo Edition. The game is said to have online play and a few new features. I'm also guessing that it will be $20.

There is about a 95% chance of this being true.

If you have an electronics boutique near you, you might be able to get a used memory card for like $15. Or maybe you can sell them the games you don't want to play anymore and trade it for a new memory card.

The only good thing about XBOX in this situation is the fact that it has memory built in. And, it also depends on what XBOX you get, for instance there is a lot of problems with the XBOX's with the Thompson drives.

I just recently got an XBOX and already had a PS2. I still like the PS2 better.

Actually X-Box isn't all that much better. i just like it better. Not really any reasons. I like the sports games better on X-Box i guess. And the memory thing backfires on it because, for example, i wind up wanting to play KOTOR on a friend's X-Box and the files are way too big for the X-Box memory cards so i'm fucked and i wind up bringing my game back and forth unnecessrilly.
