Ron&Fez slacking off

Does anyone know why they've started replaying the 11:00am show at 10:00pm, and how long this is going to go on? I'm surprised Allen or Cameron or whoever's currently running the station is letting them get away with this. I mean, come on! I know that they're doing what would regularly be a standard number of hours on the air by taking off the ten o'clock hour, but it's not fair to the listeners who've already heard the daytime show and end up getting just a three hour show (not to mention the TWO HOUR SHOW they do on Mondays), at night. I don't know about you, but if something has to give, I'd like to see the morning show end and get a regular four-hour show at night! They're taking off an hour early and replaying a show that aired less than eight hours earlier that day?....Has no one fought this?

Surprisingly no one seems to have brought this up on the board. This new "schedule" is only temporary so don't think that it's etched in stone. The evening show will be back to normal in the near future.

they are paid to work 4 hours a day. they are just sick of doin extra, they arent slacking shit. the reason they didnt just say the hell with the 11 am show is because i think they wanna do mid days

Ron & Fez have a grueling schedule. They have the 11:00 am show which requires a lot of prep time, and once that's done they have to do another show 11 hours later. If they want to ease their schedule some by replaying the 11 AM show, that's fine with me. Not fair to the listeners....please. These guys do much more for their listeners than any other radio hosts that I know of.

I just figured it was, as you said, temporary. It would be nice to think the guys were getting a break for doing the morning show for so long in addition to the evening show. K., let the guys take it easy for a little while. Lord knows they deserve it.

Good point Mikeyboy. How long does Stern take off every year? Last time I listened to him, he got like a month off just for Christmas. I was litening to Best Of's for weeks.

Ron and Fez are professionals, but I think they saw was being team players got them at WNEW. Maybe they're a little more reluctant to help like they used to, and who can blame them.

Well, I guess I'm the reg who has to say it, but I dislike it.

I hope it is just a temporary thing, a transition between them either taking the middays, I have no idea.

However, it may have some real impact in ratings, and that is disquieting. Again, it could mean nothing, a transition.

Two shifts is indeed way too much. That we can all agree on. But Ron and Fez in radio terms, are still fairly new to DC, and lord knows for many if not most, the show takes some time getting used to, and if people are clicking radios off at 10pm, that really can't be a good thing.

Of course, them becoming so huge they syndicate in every major city would solve all of this so most of all Support the Guys! Who knows! Maybe it's radio Genius!!!!!! WoooHOOOOO!!!!!....

They can do a four hour solid comedy/news show at night OR a three hour show with The Fastest Hour from the day repeated but Not Both.

Whoever mentioned grueling. That aint the word, i'm guessing. These guys are spinning a LOT of plates right now.

And people like me who have the luxury [and it is, and i sometimes dont appreciate it] of hearing both show can forget that many if not most Can't, so bring on The Fastest Hour!

Why don't they just tape the 11 am show at night before they go home? No callers and they could do topics they didn't get to from 7-11. I like the fastest hour, but they are doing the same stories 2 or 3 times a day.

Do you know what I get to choose from in NY radio? Political talk usually wins out, but I get that or a million SHITTY music stations. There's the Old Rock station that is the best out of all of them, the Spanish bullshit station, the classical station which is 2nd in line, the wanna be heavy Nu Metal station and about 7-10 top 40-ish stations.

So STOP COMPLAINING about Ron and Fez. Just DC having them is a blessing.

I would shoot your mother in the face with a shotgun to get Ron and Fez back.

Sure, I'd prefer that last hour live, but anything it takes to keep them happy and sane until they secure the mid-days is fine with me. And besides, that "fastest hour" is better than many other radio shows for four hours.

Actually, it coincides nicely with me finally finding work, which has meant an abrupt end to listening to the fastest hour of radio during the day. Now I get to catch the replay at 10pm.

if you have a problem with this DONT LISTEN TO THE MIDDAY SHOW and listen to it at 10pm , or dont listen past 10pm - you're still not getting any less show than when they had the old schedule
