LEts go Bengals. Finally the are at 500. I have always rooted for the underdog and i am happy to see the bengals doing good especially with all their talent. But the goddamn Jets are killing me. I am a diehard Jets fan and this year has been like someone is twisting a knife in my heart every week. But come every sunday i will be rooting for the Jets and Bengals (and for the Buccs for Fezzies sake)

You can root for two teams. I love the Jets and i still root for them, but i want the bengals to do good because you cant deny that marvin lewis has truned that team around and that they are no longer the joke of the NFL and no team deserves to be a joke for almost 10 years except for the dolphins.

I root for the Jets. Jets first always. But I used to live in Tampa, so I also root half heartedly for the Bucs.

I root for 2 teams. The Jets and Giants. They only play each other once every 4 years. It is the only sport I like 2 teams. With them both out of it now, I am not a fan, but I would love to see the Bengals do well. They ar ethe feel good story of the NFL this year.

Thank God for Marvin Lewis. There has been so much talent on this team for so long and it is damn time it is being put to use well. I just hope that there won't be a running back controversy between Rudi Johnson and Corey Dillion. Rudi J has been tearing it up while Dillion has been on the shelf and now that he is healthy there is word brewing about who the #1 will be. I hope they can play both and have a formitable running attack.
Nothing against Jon Kitna as he is doing very well but I hope Carson Palmer is watching and learning on the sidelines cause he is the QB of the future there. I just hope he isn't the bust that Akilli Smith was. Keeping the fingers crossed.
Go with your Bengals rooting or whoever you wsh to root for. Some people do have more than one team that they like and for so many different reasons even though it does seem like jumping the bandwagon.
My situation was this as far as football goes. The Eagles are my hometown team and event hrough all of the bad years when I couldn't even think of watching football I never hated or turned on them. There just wasn't anything inspiring to watch.
Back in 1982 I became a Bucs fan because of my hatred for the Cowboys and I was 8 and I liked the colors. Go figure. I was so elated when the Bucs won the Super Bowl last year and it was hard as hell to wipe away the fact that they trounced the Eagles in the NFC Championship. I did root against the Bucs that game out of priority and because the Eagles did really deserve it. It was one of those things back in high school I said "Bah, the Eagles and Bucs would never play a meaningful game". That was 12 years ago and boy was I wrong. Now the Bucs are off the radar screen a bit not cause of being 4 - 6, I could give a shit less but they have become one of those teams I hate with all of the chest thumping and big mouth trash talking I kind of hide my head in shame when Sapp or Keyshawn run their mouth. I had to laugh at Simeon Rice when his guarantee to beat the Panthers blew up in his face. Be champions but do it with respect and dignity. Shut your holes!
Right after high school I wanted an AFC team to root for and I figured in the tradition of me liking bad teams I started to like the Bengals. Never a huge fan but I did follow them when I could and if they had games on, I tried to watch as bad as they were. If anything it came down to watching Sunday Prime Time for highlights. I am all giddy that things are going well for them and the Queen City finally has something to talk about sports wise. Go with it. I said to my one friend at the beginning of the year they would go 7 - 9 and be an improvement. Thats all you can really ask for. They have improved 2 wins over last season. Should be a fun ride the rest of the way.

I am tired of all this support that we are getting now i have been made fun of all throughout the 90's for being a Bengals fan i suffered by myself here in NJ so let us the true Bengals fans enjoy this with out all of the "my team sux but cincy doing goo for a change i'll root for them" fans I had to suffer through the late 80's early 90's with the Astros and all my life with the Red Sox so let me and the other Bengals fan enjoy their wins b4 they become the Bulls or 49'ers with all there bandwagon fans here in NJ

I root for 2 teams. The Jets and Giants.
See now, this I can't totally get behind. I root for the Jets. That's my NY team. I like to see the Giants triumph over other non- NY teams, because I love my home, but I don't root for them.
You can't pull for two teams in the same town/state.

Yes you can. I have been watching both teams now for about 20 years. I watch football all day on Sundays. It is the one sport where I cannot miss a game. I grew up liking both teams. I liked the Sack Exchange and Taylor, Banks and Carson. I like Ken O'Brien and Phil Simms. I hated Kotite and Joe Walton. I loved Parcells and hated Ray Handley. Phil Mcconkey and Wayne Chrebet were 2 of my favorite players.
-I like the Yankees and laugh at the Mets.
-I like the Knicks but know the Nets have a much better team and much better managment.
-I like the Rangers and just cry showing how far they have fallen in 10 years thanks to the Dolan's.

you know your a real fan when your bitter, and if your bitter, you wish the downfall of every other team but your own...and that in my opinion is what makes Boston (for all of its sporting woes) the best fan city in the country, they will die for their teams...i like that, it shows character.
