Picked it up yesterday. So far so good. Anyone else playing it?

EB had it yesterday, every other store should have it today.

The story is Yuna, Rikku and Paine (new char), with a few Al Bhed, are travelling the world as "sphere hunters" as Yuna tries to search out Tidus, whom she believes is still alive based on the recording in a sphere she has.

There are no more summoners, so there are no summons (but I think I read somewhere you can get them later in the game)

No limit breaks, but the ability/job thingee is pretty cool. As you are fighting, you can hit L1 to change clothes and jobs, so you can go from warrior to songstress to thief to black mage to white mage... etc. Plus as you fight, you gain ability points, so whatever job you are at the time improves and you can do more cool shit.

ok, I read something in game about covering the using all your dress spheres in the garment grid and it will allow you to transform into a creature (hence, a summoning). Unfortunately, the boss I was up against last night kept casting curse on me, so I couldn't change. And most other fights are over too quick for me to try it.

Wakka and Lulu have retired to Besaid. When you first talk to them, they tell you Lulu is pregnant.

The only mini-game I've found so far is the find the shit in the desert game.

So far, I like it as much as FFX. Good storyline, nicely brings things back the first game with Yuna's voiceovers.

I got the Demo of FF X-2 in a magazine. It has 2 short missions, and it seems fairly cool. They also included some mini-movie that was only released in Japan or some shit that was an epilogue to FF X and sets the stage for yuna's adventure in FF X-2.

But I have to be honest. I've started FF7, FF8 and Parasite Eve, and NEVER finished them. These games are too long and never hold my interest. I KNOW they stories and graphics are great, and Square IS the BEST company for roleplay games. Even so, I higly doubt I'll pick this one up.

I know what you mean, moe. I expect to be playing this one at least into 2004. I read a description of the japanese video, but that all kinda gets covered early in the game.

My game froze on me in the middle of a fight. Mother fucker. If it does it again I'm returning it.

The animation in the fight scenes doesn't look as smooth as it did in FFX and Wakka's voice sucks. Those are my observations for now.

Just bought it...it seems OK ...my 11 year daughter is playing it and loves it. I logged in a half hour, so far so good. It's made by Square so it's gonna be good.

i played an import of it a few months back and totally hated it. so far this is the 1st final fantasy game i hated. so i'm not a square hater, hoever i might rent this game after my war with blockbuster is over.

Seems every reviewer in America panned the import and lauded the domestic release because they finally understood what the fuck the characters were saying and what was going on.

i thought that ff7 was great summoning limit breaks everything about it was great then ff8 came out thought it suxed it was the first ime i ever had to buy the guide the whole cadite thing suxed the test and pay day let me kill my monsters and level up that way and get my gold that one pissed me off so much i have yet to buy a new ff but i need a new rpg game and i can't wait till x-men rpg comes out if this one is anything like ff7 or ff tactics i'll pick it up so is it?

i just went to pick ff10 or ffx2 and neither are for pc the newest one thatg is out for pc is i think the guy said ff11 but u need an online subscription so any sugestion for a rpg game for the pc that plays like ff

FF 7 and 8 were stand alone rpgs released for the PC about a year after the PS versions.

FF 11 is an online rpg only, PS2 version comes out early next year.
