As I've said a few times here, there seems to be two roads for the Infinity muckity-mucks in regards to the buddies at WJFK...put them on mid-days for 4 hours and find a new show (like The Hideout) to put 7-11; or keep them at nights and find a new 4 hour mid-day show (like Out ot Lunch with the guys from Baltimore, who run between Stern and D&M on Live 105). This split shift for Ron and Fez is just nuts.

Anyway, there seems to be a thought in Balmer that their current 7-11 show isn't working out...

DCRTV on Live 105 (http://www.dcrtv.com): R&F To 105.7? - 11/25 - DCRTV hears that Tom Leykis's days are numbered on Baltimore's Live 105.7. Look for something else to replace the nationally syndicated talker in the 7 PM to 11 PM slot on WXYV, an Infinity-owned talker. Our wild guess - Ron and Fez, who air in the same time slot on DC talk sister WJFK-FM. Hmmm.....

R&F in the evenings in Baltimore would be great, not to mention one hour closer to NY, - meaning possibly the start of their syndication.

Whatever they do, Infinity needs to show some support for Ron and Fez and reward them for being more than team players/

That would be a sensible move to make.

Therefore it will never happen. They'll probably play Christmas music from 7-11.

This should only reinforce our efforts to work extra hard at getting letters to Infinity to get them back on the air in New York...

Once we get Baltimore in the ranks then it is up the turnpike to Philly and then back home to NYC.

Keep the faith everyone it will happen.

It is simple. Ron and Fez's ratings go up in DC then they go to Baltimore (return to syndication). The ratings will go through the roof in Baltimore. Once that happens Infinity will realize that they fucked up and put them in Philly and return them to NYC. Give it time, it will happen. Baltimore is a good starting point for Ron and Fez.

Successful syndication in one city = greater chance that there will be syndication to other cities.

yes, like when R&F were syndicated to DC from NY. things grew from that point.

What market is Baltimore, BTW?

I'm not being a nancy negative, just playing devil advocate. just because Baltimore is 1 hour closer to NY doesn't mean NY is next on the list or even on the list. Next could be cleveland or miami or nothing.

ok, I'm fuzzy on how a move to Balitmore= syndication in NY.

Baltimore= market 20
DC= market 8

NY= market 1

20 + 8=28 (Riverside, CA)
20 - 8 =12 (Miami / Ft. Lauderdale)
20/8 = 2.5 (midway between Chicago and LA which is physically more or less Denver, market 22)
20 x 8 =160 (Asheville, NC)

You're right, it doesn't add up. But it would be nice to 'augment' WJFK's signal to the northeast. Augment it enough, of course, and you have NY.

Edit: Add DC's population to Baltimore's and the number you wind up with is a little larger than market 4, San Francisco.

Late2party--- you know the business better than most of us, so you should know that going to Baltimore is a positive for Ron and Fez, Hopefully this will work into a gig in Philly and then back home to DC and other cities around the country.

Howard did it, Don and Mike did it, O & A did it and the list goes on. "The Ron and Fez Show" is the best show on radio. Good things will come to the show. I guarantee it.
