My boyfriend's ex-girlfriend sued him for 600 dollars that he supposedly owes her. My boyfriend does not think he owes her this money because she has his rent deposit from when they used to live together. Well, they went to small claims court, and the judge awarded the bitch $200. He wasn't going to pay her at all, but someone told us that she was going to call the sheriff on him if he does not. What we want to do is give her 1 penny at a time every Friday (payday) until the 200 dollars is paid off-- just to piss her the fuck off. Is this legal? Anyone know if he can get in trouble for this. I mean, we wouldn't even mind upping it to, say, $1 a week.

Although it is a funny idea, and tempting I'm sure, you would need to prove that youre unable to pay the full amount sooner AND that youre making a good faith effort to comply with the judge's decision. not sure if her Bank offers the same service but our Bank allows you to bring in loose change and they place it in a bag and ship it out. I brought two 5 gallon buckets that were a little over a 1/4 full with loose change to the bank. i helped the girl pour the change into two seperate bags and you just provide two deposit slips. two weeks later the 'counted change' was added to our account.

they also allow you to mix the change...
