gambling card games

looks like my schedule is freeing up a little after the new year and have been dropping hints to my friends that i'm going to start a poker night. nothing big, just playing for change but you can walk away with something nice if you have quite a few heads.

so i'm looking for some new games. here's one of my favorites, quick and cut throat-

fuck your neighboor

2 each player has 3 stacks in front ($1-$3, or $3x3) and dealt one card a piece. jacks stop, kings flip.

3 to the left of the dealer, the player has the choice of passing to his left or holding the card. the objective to to not get stuck with the low card in the end.

4 under 6 should be passed, but the player runs the risk of getting a lower card in the pass. if the player to the left has a jack, the 1st player must keep their card. also, if you are dealt a king in the beginning, you throw it and everyone must show their cards.

5 if you loose a round, you throw in a stack. if there is a low tie, both people throw in. last person walks away with it all.

I like that game but hate the way you just described it


Here's a game that we like to play:

its called '52' here's the rules:

1) All players ante a certain amount (we'll say 1 dollar)

2) 5 cards are dealt to all players (5's and 2's are wild)

3) players either 'go' or 'pass'.....those who pass are out....those who go, get 2 more cards (making 7 cards for each player) and play against each other. Loser has to match the pot. Therefore if 3 people out of 6 go, there will be one winner and 2 losers. The winner would take his money, 6 bucks (from the ante) then the losers would match the pot (6 bucks each) making the next hand worth 12 bucks.

4) If only one player chooses to 'go' he will be matched up against the top 7 cards from the deck. If the player beats the deck, the game is over. If the player loses to the deck, he has to match the pot and another hand is played.

EDIT: Best 5 card poker hand wins!

This game could get really expensive sometimes so smaller ante's can be used.

It might work on-air, so maybe soon I will do my card trick.

But it's this:

You bring in a deck of cards. I dont even want to know you have them; where or what.

Take em out; shuffle dont shuffle I dont care.

Spread them out all over a table, random, messy, ya know. Now announce out loud a card, number and suit, and I will ask you to pick it out of the pile, the pile you just shuffled so even you dont know what cards are on the table.

Repeat two more times; so that you have announced and picked out three cards.

Then flip the cards over, and you picked the three you said you wanted.

Wanna gamble on 3 outta 3? or make it 4 and I'll take three out of four. I mean number AND suit.

And I will win.
