Can someone tell me what kind of person and personality it takes to have reptiles and snakes?

I have 6 aquatic frogs in one 10 gallon tank and a fire bellied newt and a toad in another, along with some betta fish in thir own tanks. I see them as far easier than keeping reptiles around and they are funnier to observe and easier to maintain. From what I have seen of the types of personality that seems drawn to reptiles is a personality type that tends to shy away from social interaction and behaves guarded with their emotions. Go with the amphibians, my friend. Try the albino aquatic frogs, mine just eat freeze dried blood worms and whatever insect I swat during the summer months that gets into my house. They are very funny to watch.

Hey, its not necessary to talk like that, its a legit question she had about the way you posted it. Its very confusing. Honestly though, anyone I ever knew that preferred to keep reptiles was emotonally as cold as they seem. I prefer to keep animals that are social. My opinion, not necessarily gospel.

When I was younger I used to have reptiles as pets. I always loved lizard and snakes. I guess I kind of admired their independence. I know there are not the type pet that shows affection but that is exactly why I have always liked them.

I was brought up with dogs, cats. I've had gerbils and hamsters. I tried having a frog. Couldn't deal He was cute, but he wasn't warm and cuddly.
Just my thang.

One thing for sure is how utterly unpredictable it is to figure out who will react in what way when presented with a reptile.
My experience: Walk into class, a Snake around my neck unannounced. The first time I did it I didn't even give it a thought; Bio Teacher next door has a big snake, my freshman havent seen it, so I throw it around the neck; hey I have Books and Quizzes! So I walk in and don't say a word, and BAM!
Out of 30 kids in a class; maybe 2 or 3 might Leap out of their seats to get as far away from the Snake as possible. Jock, Goth, Stoner, Nerd, tall, short, whatever... some react most violently; I've had kids ask to leave the room, kids who couldnt look at it...
Maybe 1/3 are like 'Whoa! Lemme See!' and another third probably hate the thing, and hide it well, or not. And 1/3 are like 'oh, a snake.'
[Wow the quotes that could be taken out of context in this post!]

I have recently gotten involved w/ a guy who has snakes and was trying to get to know him better thru his animals and/or pets.
He is obviously a snaker handler. Attend his church. Handle the snake. It's OK. If the snake bites you, it is only because you have sinned against god. If it doesn't bite you, then you are OK in not only god's book, but your new man's book to.
Go out to Friendly's and have a Fribble.
