I think it sucks. Just like that memorial we were discussing. The lattice work on top is suppose to contain windmills for helping the building generate its own electricity, which I doubt would be enough to power one floor. I had an idea of a giant ball of a building, with a hollow interior. The offices would be within the walls of the ball, with a skylight window on top to let light in, like a Dyson sphere! A park with gardens and trees growing in its center. But it would be massive. This building they have here has a twisted shape to it, and I cant for the life of me see why they would want to make it twisted, as if we are a twisted culture.

Take off the scaffolding on the one tower, make it's roof like the other, smaller buildings, and I think it would look nice.

I would have prefered 2 new, modern twin towers, but the pussification of America has taken hold on this project.

I don't mind the lattice work, but they need an observation deck at the top of the spire. This could have been a lot better.

what i find so funny is how revered the original towers are .....

not to undermind the horror or tragedy, but people hated those when they were built .... they were considered architectual blights on the majestic skyline of that housed the beauty of the chrysler and empire state building

once the new complex is complete, and we become more used to the revamped skyline, it won't be so bad .....

It just doesn't look practical or functional. The original towers may have been huge, but they clearly served a purpose and blended in with the skyline while towering above it. This is like something out of a bad "Blade Runner" sequel or something.
