Mr. mark, just some friendly advice; this board plays nice. If you don't tone it down, one of the mods or administrators will give you a REAL warning.

Anyway, I was once in a fire. My friend's house went up like a pile of leaves one Labor Day weekend while we were hanging out. Damn thing burnt to the ground. It was brutal; I smelled something burning and thought he was cooking something in the kitchen. When I came out of the living room to investigate, I saw black smoke billowing down the stairway from upstairs. I instinctively tried to run up there to see what I could do to put it out (no one was up there), and got about a third of the way before I hit this wall of skin-melting heat. I called to my buddy and told him "Dude, your house is on fire!" He freaked and ran out of the house. I tried to remain calm and called the fire department while he was screaming "Get the Fuck out!"

Turns out it was electrical in nature; faulty wiring or something. It is truly devistating to watch something like that, especially the look on my friends face, seeing him watch the house he grew up in be reduced to cinders. Absoloutely vicious. I hope no one here ever has to experience anything like that.
