The series of vignettes in the 94-minute film - were short stories from radio storyteller Jean Shepherd's 1966 collection "In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash."

I think I mentioned this before, but I have Jean Shepherd reading the story "Red Ryder Nails the Cleaveland Street Kid" live on WOR Radio in NYCity, Xmas eve 1974. It's the basis of the movie, but very different. It was a huge event, and many people tuned in to tape it each year when he did it; hence the existance of a 29 year old radio segment that was never regularly archived.

Again, if anyone wants it, and the Mods said it was ok last time, just email me for the MP3.

Unfortunately, the 43 minute radio broadcast MP3 is a 10.0 MB file. So for those with fast connections thats no prob, but dial-up means downloading a file for a very long time, but hey, while you're computers sitting there, what the hell. If someone knows MP3 and can make it a smaller file without it sounding like crap from the MP3 compression; feel free to try, I did, No Joy...

That's Peter Billingsley. What's he doing now? He was actually one of the producers for the movie "Made"

Weird how when your young and blond, your hair is so light, then as you age, it gets darker. But if your born with dark hair, it stays dark till it starts to turn gray. The link I had had some more information on him.

Warning! Warning! There's a new sheriff in town. A newer, unpredictable, hairtrigger sheriff.

He also produces "Dinner for 5" with Favreau for IFC.

Mike, email me the clip and I'll put it in the media archive.
