not as good without the show. generally, they are bad, bad shows, and having the show on mute while you listen to the boys, it looses it's punch w/o the dumb show.

i'm not saying the boys still aren't funny, but the bit has lost something. plus, they'd get me to watch a show i would never watch and laugh my balls off.

I never got the appeal in the first place. Especially since they always did it with awful, awful TV shows.

thanks to sexy, i head the celb fear factor, with david hasselhoff. i remember watching it along, though i've never watched ff. hysterical the first time, but it came across as a sarcastic play-by-play with a few jokes.

What Furie said.

I would have agreed with Mojo except that R&F made "awful, awful shows" funny by making fun of them.

It would feel like MST3K if I could watch the show and hear R&F busting on it at the same time. But inevitably I'd have to turn the TV volume off and just listen to the guys, which kills half of everything that's going on. MST3K was clearly a very timed show...you were supposed to hear the movie AND the jokes...obviously, R&F don't have the time to do that, but that's why I didn't even get that MSTie-feel...

what are you talking about? ofcourse you turned the tv to mute, but R&F had the tv's sound feed along with their broadcast loud enough to hear the entire show, it just had R&F talking over it.

I don't remember that at all.

You're making it up.

I used to like it when they'd cut to commercial, i'd leave the tv on mute of course and continue to listen to 102.7.

It was surreal watching a palm olive commerical while listening to WNEW push their sex cream ads.

mojo, the show i was listening to last night had the tv coming through - i was lacking a visual, which was my initial complaint.
