The Raiders' Bill Callahan may be one.

proof that college success does not always translate into the NFL.

...The bizarre turn of events happened because Spurrier had not been aware that the final details had been worked out between his new agent, Jimmy Sexton, and the team.
"We had a little miscommunication there" Spurrier [said]

well, I hope the ol' ball coach can coach up his agent and do a better job of pitchin' n' catchin' all over the ol' ballpark....

Looks to me that the fun n' gun is one dumb pun and has done run plumb NOFUCKINGWHERE!

Do you think Ron Zook started packing his stuff already or do you think he'll wait till after the Bowl Game.

Yeah you guys are right. Spurrier's finished.
I'm sure no colleges will be knocking on his door.
Who would want to coach in the NFL ? Its by far the worst pro sports job in that it sticks to the rule of What Have You Done For Me Lately. Look at the coaches of the 90's that were treated like geniuses when their teams were winning but once the game got more competetive they were out on their collective fannies.
Any college head coach that had a subpar season or got embarssed in a bowl game better watch their step. If Saban went to the Giants ( which probably wont happen ) LSU would pay Spurrier 3 million a year to go there.

Um, I'd love a shot to coach in the NFL, but only if I get to be the GM too.

Please don't hold my huge nutbag against me, or I'll hold it against you that you have flapjack tits
