Right now Im trying to download Adobe Premiere 6.5, depending on Kazaa Im really not sure if it will work. If it doesn't, what are some good programs out there?
My camcorder hooks directly up through USB so I dont need any AV adapters. I would like something at the most $100-125. Im looking for something a few steps above beginner, I wanna do a lot with it.
Pinnacle? Ulead? Adobe? _________?

For free? Adobe Premiere is the best consumer/commercial editing package out there before you get into the Avid Series. Pay for it if you can. It's worth the investment. If you don't wanna pay, there's always Windows Movie Maker (free with windows xp).
RonFez.Net does not support the downloading of illegally pirated files from the Internet. Any such admission from our members is purely for entertainment purposes.
(aka cozmo, use your brain and don't say things like that on the site)

If you have access to a mac, there's an excellent editor in the iLife package, plus it's easy to turn into dvds, etc.
(and yes, any threads about purchase and distribution of illegal things do get locked and removed)

iMovie is really just the basics. But it works well and is REALLY easy to use. And once you take the apple logo off the menus in iDVD, They put out a really nice product!
Final Cut Pro is the serious editor for Apple and Adobe Premiere KICKS ASS! Both are expensive but work very well.

Gotta go with Premiere. Used it at my old job, and although the learning curve is a bit steep when you're starting out, it is pretty intuitive and you can go like a bat outta hell when you get used to it.
If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative and easier to learn alternative, I've used a program called VideoWave a few years back. The program was kinda slow, and had a few quirks and bugs, but if you're not editing anything commercial, it works fine.

From experience, I don't think you should use USB to transport to your computer (my camera has it and it doesn't work well), and you should upgrade to firewire (only about $30 for the pci card).

For Windows, Premiere is the best you can get without spending mucho mucho $$$ for the Avid system. I used to work in TV and used Premiere,
I personally prefer using Mac computers for anything video related if I can, they are built fot the application

I'd have to agree with that. I've had more success with the Macs when making videos then with my Windows PC... of course I'm pretty sure it's just my crappy computer.
