I'm watching the Sci-Fi Twilight Zone marathon. My favorite just finished. That's the one with Burgess Meredith where there's a nuclear war and now he has all the time in the world to read all the books that he wants...well, you know the end of the story...what's your favorite episode?

It's not censorship because people can't come here and post/say whatever they want in the first place.

One of my all-time favorite shows. I've seen every episode but one.
My favorite may be the one with Shatner on the airplane.

My favorite may be the one with Shatner on the airplaneugh, that may be the only twilight zone episode i don't like. it's okay, i suppose, for its comedic value, but that's it. the bear creature thing on the wing isn't scary at all.

It was The Twilight Zone, which is why it was also in Twighlight Zone: The Movie, which led to a funny joke on Third Rock from the Sun.

the one where all the neighbors are over for dinner, and they hear a report that a nuke is on the way. The one family runs down to their shelter, but they dont have room for the other families. Eventually, the neighbors break down the shelter inorder to let themselves in, and then a report comes across the radio: no bombs were actually on the way. Everybody learned an important lesson.

there are so many great episodes it is really hard to choose. i think my favorite may be the one where the coin lands on its edge, allowing the person who flipped it to be able to read people's minds.
the one that alkey mentioned is also one of my favorites.

OH!
The one where a spaceship lands and the astronauts think they landed on a planet where everything is fucking enormous and you find out it was really mini-people who landed on earth from another mini-earth!

I Love The Twilight Zone.
Great thread, Reeshy!
..and Burgess Meredith was in alot of TTZ episodes.
Some of my faves are:
* The Hitchhiker *
".. Going my Way?..."
( A woman is driving alone. She keeps trying to reach her destination, but she keeps seeing a disheveled hitchhiker who somehow keeps staying ahead of her and ... Ahhh!!! )
* Talking Tina *
( I think all the 'Chuckie' movies stole from this premise )
* To Serve Man *
Does anyone remember which one had Robert Redford as "Death" ( his firsty time on television, i think ) ?
...No sig, yet... Sigh.

I liked the episode where that dude turned into a mole. That was something I could really relate too.

What, you never got the one I sent you? Check your inbox.
I liked the one where the guy with all the books tricks the neo nazi dude or something like that.

Alkey, there were several Twilight Zone episodes with similar plots, but I think you're referring to the one with a tiny spaceship landing on a what we think is Earth. These little beings in spacesuits try to communicate with ..
... a terrified, broom-wielding and Giant woman ( she uses the broom as a weapon at one point. How prophetic, for THAT actress, too - Agnes Moorhead )
She was later cast as the broom-wielding witch, Endora, in 'Bewitched'. LOL.
Anyway, Is it that one? I don't remember the name of it.. but what a GREAT episode.
...No sig, yet... Sigh.

That's the coolest fucking premise for a show ever! Do you think we're living on mini-earth? And if so, we should try to fly to jumbo-earth sometime. As sort of an experiment. What do you think?

Serling just rocked; so many episodes to choose from; the horror ones, the mind fuck ones, the ones set in past, ones set in future...
The Shatner one i think is called 'terror at 30,000 feet' or something; and it looks like a bear now but it scared the shit outta me as a kid. Or maybe it was Shatner.
OK, I think I remember the scariest episode; for moi. The one where the lady has some horrible disfigurement so they're trying one last final surgery to see if they can fix her face, and it ends in the usual 'mind fuck' way. Wow that haunted me for years...
Number 2 is called "The Monsters are out on Maple St" or Elm St. or St. Elsewhere who cares; anyway there's a neighborhood and things start blacking out and going weird and everyone must be incredibly stoned because they get ultra paranoid to the point of having a very 1950's pleasantville-era Riot/Mob Scene/ "Kill Himmmmm!!!!!!!!......"
And the burgess meredith one did indeed rock.
And the one at the diner where someone is an alien.
ugh, that may be the only twilight zone episode i don't like. it's okay, i suppose, for its comedic value
Indeed. Classic Shatner overacting!
I also love the one with the Mardi Gras masks, Talky Tina and "It's a Good Life" -- the one where Billy Mumy wishes people into the cornfield.

I loved the 1 when the kids parents did not pay much attention to them, then 1 day they went swimming in the pool & came out to a different world. The kids decided to stay with the nicer people. O but the scariest 1 is the 1 with the Devil In the Closet.

My faves are reeshy's first one, with Burgess Meredith finding all the time in the world to read. Caught about 5-10 min of it on new year's.
The other is "It's a Good Life" with Bill Mumy.
