The faults you have are all along the "Ring of Fire" which is the outer edge of the Pacific Plate. That plate in particular is quite mobile, and as it moves, it triggers eathquakes and volcanic eruptions. Study its outer edges, you always hear about earthquakes along it. Now, as for me, I see alot of correlation between earthquakes all around the world. The one in Iran, California, and other recent ones, to me, show convection cells in the mantle have far reaching effects, as the continents themselves are floating over the mantle, driven by the convection cells.
