Why does my screen freeze when I play online games

When ever I go into a multiplayer game like tibia or runescape it runs nice and smooth for about 10 minutes but then it freezes.

If mole can't play rpgs online what is the point of living?

I have dsl, 255 ram, just installed a whole bunch of memory and this problem never happened when I had a dial up connection. I'm beggining to think ron and fez fans aren't the computer geniuses they claim to be.
