Below are names and addresses of soldiers that are in Iraq and in need of
your encouragement and support.

Have an extra Christmas Card, Cookies or Holiday Specials to share with
the warriors protecting our way of life? Pick a name, pass it on, let them
know we support them! Get them to the schools and churches also!

Please support these guys in Iraq. A letter makes a BIG difference in an
otherwise terrible day/month. Please also disseminate to as many as
possible so these people start getting some mail. Appreciate your support.

Great post, Dragon.

If anyone is interested, I donated what few hundreds of frequent flier miles I had to the site listed below...

Operation Hero Miles (http://www.heromiles.org/)

Operation Hero Miles provides a way for you to help our troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan by donating your unsed frequent flyer miles.

It's legit. Do what you can.

If you want to sponsor a USO care package, go to THIS site...

OPERATION USO CARE PACKAGE (http://www.usocares.com/)

And for general links to help the soldiers and their familes, from donating money, helping pay for school or even just helping buy groveries, check the link below...

Links to help our soldiers and Iraqi citizens (http://www.michaelmoore.com/links/index.php?linkType=How%20to%20support%20the%20Amer ican%20soldiers%20and%20help%20the%20people%20of%2 0Iraq)

Yes, it's hosted at Michael Moore's site. Suck it up and do the right thing.

Wow these guys love getting letters and will often surprise you with Enormous responses. Hey, something to do, ya?

It's absolutely the coolest thing. The military is Very scrupulous about getting mail to and from the troops. Anyone see the 'Mail Call' episode Live from Iraq?

Lee Ermey, real Marine that he is; knew to show the important stuff in a war that is often overlooked; what the troops eat, your bunk, your mail. And they showed the Mail service in action. Some pretty amazing stats on the numbers moved by these Mail people; can't remember what the average delivery time was to Iraq, but it was surpirigly short, considering the trip its taking.

Semper Fi carry on...

Excellent point. Without de-railing the thread, I agree with much of Moore, but his Messenger [Moore] can't get the message across. His mistake is lumping it all together; but again, thats for another thread. If someone wants to discuss, make it.

Just an FYI: you can send letters to soldiers using a .37 cent stamp. No special postage is needed.
