Does anyone here have or know anyone who has Dish Network?
I currently have Direct TV but am considering switching to Dish Network, they will give me more channels and a free TIVO if I sign up for less than I am paying now for Direct tv. I was just wondering if anyone has any info about Dish Network.

I have Dish Network and am pretty satisfied with them. Just so you know, you will now get the "YES" network. I had no knowledge of the Tivo offer. I wonder if I am able to get it now.

Have had Dish fo 3 years now. No complaints. The programming seems almost identical to Direct as far as I can tell.
Free Tivo? Go for it. If it sucks, you have 30 days to cancel w/out penalty.

One big difference between dish and direct. Dish does not have the sports packages which I do buy anyway.
With the top 150 package you get the encore movies and the movie channel.
Most TIVO services are 5.00 a month, so that is equal. I have heard of some people getting life time fee of 200.00 but I think that was when it first came out.

Well I am sticking with Direct Tv. They are giving me 6 months of Showtime free, a free tivo, a discount on HBO and Premium services. So it is a good deal for me.

I have dishnet. MY only complaint, and I think DirectTv has the same problem, is the the cost of have a second receiver so multiple television has reception.
However, I would never trade my dish in for cable just for that reason

current tivo rates are $13 a month and $200 for life. we bought my dad a tivo during the holidays and he's addicted to it.
