I'm not sure if this site got covered when the DVD story broke a few weeks ago, but while I was researching it, I came across this :

SeinfeldMedia.com (http://www.seinfeldmedia.com/index.html?target=p_1.html&lang=en-us)

I assume its just some guy who taped all the episodes and then transfered them to DVD.

I have balls !!!

the other 3 are arguing over their share of the $, and refuse to do interviews for the DVDs.

Oops!! "Covered in the DVD story." I'm Sorry

$240 for all 9 seasons sounds good. I wonder how good they look. Are the commercials still there?

Well, as Ron said the other night about this exact thing: "Why would you buy something that is airing Constantly on TV?" Not a bad point, DVD extras aside.

Thats true.
But you also have the leisure of watching it at any time.
I do think that one of the draws of the show is being able to see any one of 4 epsiodes a day.
I think if it was on less, it wouldnt be as popular.
But the fact that its on a million times a day gets all different groups.
Its kinda like Saved By The Bell in the early 90's.
When I was in college that thing was on about 7 times a day it seemed.

Nope, Kramer has said he'll be part of the DVDs.

The first 3 seasons are coming out on November 23rd (just in time for Festivous, or Thanksgiving) 2 sets (1st and 2nd in one set since the first season is only a few shows, I think it was a mid season replacement called "The Sienfeld Chronicles" at the time, and Jerry had a different dad)

Don't they only have 7 seasons? they are almost halfway done!

So does anyone care about the DVD release? This show is on TV ALL the time, I am a big DVD buyer (I own 250+ DVDs and I'm not counting the "back up copies" of friends DVD in that count!) and am not opposed to TV on DVD (I own 24, Simpsons, Family Guy,Chris Rock's Show, Chappelle's Show, Sopranos etc) but I have little interest in buying this.

As much as I liked the show when it ran, it hasn't aged well for me and doesn't seem as funny. I almost never watch the reruns anymore. A few years ago, I would have picked this up, but now, I have no interest.
