Top 5 Discussions (What's the point)

Does anyone really care about what they are anymore??
If this part of the board was removed, would that free up more space or memory?

Besides, one of the threads- IN FACT the #1 one- WNEW and O&A you can't even read it anymore! (I like how they linked it up to another link that just INCEASES the amount of times it's view- NICE way to keep it on top who ever did that but that crap is cheating!)

DCer's could care less about keeping R&F in NY.
How many new members/listenrs actually remember who Sweet Melissa was?
And the last 2 of the top 5 threads- "Who loves You on the board" and "Person above you- part 2" have no chance at all of reaching the top 2 spots.

But it was nice to see when "R&F need you" was the #1 thread for awhile.

I can't help it. It's like when you look at a beautiful woman, you just got to look. (Like you don't look at other women when your girl's around or not with you.......I know ladies it's not good but it's a natural reaction/reflex...I'm still working on it).

it think mdr55's point is, they really aren't today's top 5 discussions (some are even locked), so why should they be there. it would probably be more appropriate to have the weeks most viewed discussions.

this thread is the first time i've clicked on the links in probably 6 months.

But those discussions are so old. Its like part of a time when everything was good.

It's because they come from the time when this board had about one new thread a week. People were so desperate for something new they just kept clicking on the same few existing topics over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

6 years later, fire was invented.

It was madness then. I wish we could somehow have "tours" of the thread archives in the Staff Room. The number of locked/deleted/moved threads and banned members from then is mind-boggling compared to how often they happen here these days.
