What the fuck is this, what, are they trying to change the US into one large PAX TV show. Isn't this why TV channels had to put ratings at the beginnings of every half hour of tv. Isn't this why the "v-chip was invented, and tvs now come password equipped.

On one side are those, including Ose, who say recent Federal Communications Commission decisions declining to sanction broadcasters for airing offensive language are unacceptable to the majority of Americans, particularly those with young children.

"There just isn't any way I want to hear that stuff coming out of my TV on the public airwaves,'' Ose said Thursday. "My kids and my neighbors' kids shouldn't have to hear that stuff.''

This is obviously just a stepping stone in the eyes of these guys. Next cds will be sanctioned to contain only "nice things." Jesus, how long is it before they are ticketing people on the streets. It seems like a stretch, but it is the next evolution of things if this passes.
Where exactly is the harm, and who are the people being harmed by these words? Wait, here it is:

But Ose says such oversight frequently isn't possible today, because of changes in family life. "There are a lot of latchkey kids,'' said the congressman, who has daughters ages 11 and 9, referring to the number of children home alone after school while their parents work. "I don't want to be sitting there when a guy blurts something out over the TV and have my daughters ask me what those words mean.''

So the big problem here is the fact that he doesn't want to have to tell his kids what the words mean. What kind of fucking parenting is that; at that point you tell the kids that they are bad words and not to repeat them, how fucking lazy is this guy's parenting skills?
Jesus, if this was the American Revolution, these guys would be the guys trying to quell everything by turning their friends over to the British, so they don't have to worry about any uprisings disturbing their dinner.

Rep. Doug Ose, R-Sacramento, wants to outlaw these seven words because he says the Federal Communications Commission is not policing the airwaves vigorously enough.

Ose has had enough. "If the commission wants to split hairs on this, that's fine," he said. "I and a number of my colleagues will be happy to hold them down and shave their heads for them.''

I think I read this on dcrtv dot com or one of the other radio message boards, but the FCC has nailed some stations lately.

One, I forget which and where, but I heard they were fined up the ass and so I asked Ron, and he said something like they the hosts were telling people who called in [and hence, the audience] what stuff like Rusty Trombone, Dirty Sanchez, Fish Eye, Tossing Salad, etc. meant.

Anyway these peeps got hit hard. Which would explain two things. A caller about a week ago, obviously wanting to start something, just called in and asked what some things meant, and Ron deferred. Also, not sure if/when Hoawrd is on Live but a few days ago just before the Fastest Hour they were talking about Bukakke and what it meant, and Howard seemed to shut it down real fast.

Gotta Go find the story. Anyway, agree or not; it's getting weird on the airwaves.

By the sound of THIS douchemuffin, the news of footage of 9/11 should have been blacked out so that they wouldn't have to "explain to their daugters what it all meant."

Don't we have more pressing issues to worry about than what people say on TV?
