OK, let's discuss this flick here. All I heard were rave reviews about it so I saw it tonight. I thought it was out there, good, but out there. I enjoy Tim Burton movies but I don't think this lived up to the hype I've heard. Who here has seen it? feel free to comment.

I never really enjoyed a Tim Burton movie. This one looks like it has some pretty cool scenes though.

The critics here in DC didn't like it when it opened a couple of weeks ago, which was then odd to see then the positive reviews. I've since heard nothing but good things - and now you say this...?! Oi!

Not sure what to do.

ED WOOD is one of the best bio movies ever, and I preferred his BATMAN movies, and love PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE, but otherwise, usually with Tim Burton his films fall apart for me during the last "act"

I didn't like it at all. It wasn't my kind of movie. My stoned friend, on the other hand, loved it.

I liked it alot. The best comparison I could make would be ''Edward Scissorhands'' or any Burton Flick meets ''Forrest Gump'' cuz of all the different stories within the story. I would recommend it and im not a stoner...

It's so bizzare cause I'm a stoner and I didn't love it, but all of my non-stoner friends thought it was amazing. I'm surprised only 6 people have responded, I thought there would be a lot more.

Hey brother Bret, I am usually not in this forum so I missed out in my comments. Here is what I posted in another board about this tremendous movie (maybe my favorite of all time).

I posted this Dec. 10th:

Just got home and have to say, although I like to be overly positive about things like on the board... I have to say that is probably the BEST movie I have ever seen.

Kinda like Forrest Gump but with a bigger payoff! I really don't have words to describe how amazing I thought it was. Just brilliant... over-the-top PHE-NOM-ENAL!

Afterwards we were asked to fill out questionaires about the movie (special limited engagement today, only 3 theatres in New York) as we exited and then some of us were interviewed with a camera how much we enjoyed it. I even got on camera standing in front of the big fish promo poster... maybe I'll be in the commericial going nuts over it! Heheheh... just great it was! (Guess it wasn't on television)

Oh yeah, without giving anything away in the film, I wanted to say that if you love, love stories there is one in here... about finding your one true love and not giving up on that dream... wow, it's just wow!

A must see if you enjoy fantasy/tall tales wrapped up in a love story into a father/son relationship with alot of twists, turns and interesting characters you would expect in any Tim Burton cinematography masterpiece!

I want to be the Big Fish too!

I thought it was amazing. It was all that RFM said and more. I dunno how to explain it other than being cheezy and saying it made my heart smile.

I just lost someone very close to me and although there were some "teary" moments in the film it was still enough to leave me with the biggest smile ever.

I absolutely loved it. Do yourself the favor.
