digital cable filters work in that they dont send billing information to the cable company, but your cable company must clear your eeprom memory when it retrieves your billing information but with the filter you block your cable company from getting the information so when the eeprom fills up after about 15 orders your screwed, and no matter what anyone tells you there is no way to reset eeprom memory.
