View Full Version : I LOVE their new Subway commercials!

Ron and Fez have jumped on the Subway bandwagon and are now reading a very funny commercial (complete with Ron threatening to punch Fez in the spine, and Fez saying matter of factly that Ron doesn't need to do that) for Subway and the low-carb wraps. It seems pretty obvious that they had a hand in writing the spot.

D&M one too that is actually not bad (although I'm not sure if Subway would appreciate a reference to a live donkey sex show during the spot). All we need now are Howard and Bill O'Reilly to do the spots, and everyone will be one big happy!

Next up - matching jackets and polo shirts!

I liked their Cat Food Comercial. It sounded live (and went on longer than most Air-Talent Read spots)

Something about this national campaign done in their own style is really funny.

I just heard that ("Fuzz Whatley"); god it's funny! You're right - it sounded like part of the show.

As much as I keep thinking and thinking about leaving here I keep getting pulled back in. There is still a little flame lit for R & F and this is what it is all about. I have yet to hear the Subway bit or even a show from the past year but the boys humour still kindles inside somewhere in the cockles. I get ideas in the car during the day and things just spill out onto paper. I hope this current thing turns ut the way I want it too. not full animation but more of an animatic.

I could really go for a fucking hoagie right about now too.

There's only one Fluff.

And he is God.

Fluff, do you need a feed, or can you not even listen to that?

It's not a matter of not being able to get a feed. I can get one no problem as Steels with all of his generosity has offered many a time.

I declined.

Not because I don't want to hear the boys anymore because it just doesn't feel right. I feel as if friends of mine who CAN'T listen through their computers due to bandwidth or whatever, I don't like to have that advantage over them. Ron and Fez are being broadcast out of the DC area now for the DC and Northern Virginia people. I don't live down there so therefore I don't feel I should rightfully listen. Call me strange but I am just territorial like that. NYC lost the show. I kind of look at it a bit old fashioned here but I get like that at times.

I don't know.

Rip me at will.

I kinda get that...but at the same time, us DC people went through a long period where we only had the show on delay. So it's not like we were calling in or able to IM unless we had a feed...the show was clearly NYC-based and NYC-focused...but I loved listening every second. Didn't matter if I wasn't the primary audience...I was just glad to hear it. Made the shittiest days all that much better and more tolerable.

Just something to keep in mind. I've been there.

This certainly is not my best and could definitely use some inbetweening but here is my final Ron and Fez Adventure with Subway.

Beware the animation is choppy.

You have to have Flash Player to view it as it will open in a stand-along Flash Player.

It should work.

Another classic, Fluff.

I say send it to Jeff or Jon. I demand it up on the front page!

Next time, include the legendary Ron-patented spine-punch.

Great job, Fluff.

Jon has it now, but he's been having problems adding stuff to the media portion of the web site, so it hasn't gone up yet.

Now I'm confused...I just heard a quick 15 second Wendy's spot with Aunt Fezzie telling me to now go get some chicken strips!

What do I do...Wendy's? Subway? Purina? Five Guys?

:confuse:

That was awesome Fluff. I liked watching a despairing Ron look through the glass at a crazed Fez. Such drama. C'est magnifique!

Damn! Be careful what you wish for...!

Today, during the Fastest Hour, R&F (or Elvis and Jay, as I like to now call them) were working like whores in a Shiner Convention reading live spot after live spot! It was nuts!

I hope it's not killing it for them - I certainly didn't mind listening to their silky voices for practically the full hour (of course, when they weren't reading a spot, there were the pre-recorded spots they aired as well). It does come across as a sign that the station is really getting behind the show and the buddies if clients are willing to shell out the big bucks.

Now to go get some Purina 1 for my pussy, a pajama gram for my lady, a Subway sub for me and a Five Guys burger...also for me! (I know they don't do spots anymore, but seriously...is there a better burger in DC?)

Time to go nail another thesis to the WJFK door...
