Thanks in advance. I have only heard small clips (Howard Stern playing a scream from it to AC/DC's "For those about to rock, we salute you" Fire!!)

It would be absolutely great if Dean becomes the Democratic Presidential candidate. He is a nut. And fun to observe.
Why won't they realize that I have turned over a new leaf for 2004? So many others have gotten so many chances here, all I am asking for is my 2nd Chance.

I'm loving the spin that he's nuts or that he's lost his mind - when I finally saw it, I kept expecting something really explosive; instead it was just a passionate speech to his people who worked hard and were disappointed things didn't work out.
We're so use to passionless people in public office, that anything mildly above the norm is suddenly nutty.
Imagine how great it would be if John McCain was his running mate?! Dean/McCain! They might not live to see November, but damn it would be a hoot.

I found it on CBSNews.com. Find the video section and look for it under, humorously titled, "Dean Fired Up." I have to vote for this stocky maniac!

I heard the full audio on Stern on my way to work yesterday. They played through it and it just sounded like someone getting excited, trying to get his people pumped for the other elections. People are just looking for excuses to bring him down.

True. But he still made himself look like an idiot. Listen to him list all the states like he did. SO petulant. And that bizarre howl at the end? Sounds like he's about to break into sobs. The guy let his anger and frustration get the better of him, and he's looking like a schmuck because of it.
There's such a thing as passion, and there's such a thing as being able to control your emotions. Dean showed neither.

It's a matter of context - as a speech to supporters to get
them excited after a disappointing third place finish, it
worked. As a speech to the country, it didn't. Hard to say
how much it will haunt Dean, though I think it definitely
shook his support a bit. I'd say it was a bigger blow than
Iowa.

the crazy speech made me like him more. The audio isn't what does it, it's the red-faced mess that he looks like. If you mute it and draw a short mustache on him you'd swear he was Hitler or something. And by the end I could've sworn he started listing Belgium, Czechslovakia, and Poland

I finally saw it last night and it didn't seem that bad to me. I think part of that may have been that I heard how crazy it was. Had I seen it before hearing public opinion, I would probably say that guy is nuts. But after hearing all about Dean "losing it" I was unimpressed.

Actually, I look at it in a similar way people viewed the Nixon/Kennedy debates...the people who listened to that on the radio but didn't watch it thought Nixon won by a long shot. Those that WATCHED it went with the image and thought Kennedy trounced sweaty ol' Nixon.
SEEING Dean do what he did makes him look absurd.
But only hearing it on the radio, it doesn't seem all that bad.
